As much as I love Garland, he is still young and even though I don’t think he plays well late in games, Dame is 32. Too old to trade for him

Yeah I saw that. The rumor has to be a big move. If Murphy is included in this trade, I am up for itPelicans reportedly inquired about Allen. They're putting Valanciunas on the block. Something related maybe?
anything where the Knicks take a fuck ton of salary that keeps them out of FA in a couple years is ggood with me.ESPN is out here trying to make me change my pants at work. Randle contract is enough of a step back Wolves may be able to retain Mcdaniels and Edwards without hitting the second apron. Randle duplicates enough of KAT skills, while simultaneously opening room for more Reid minutes. Wolves restock their barren draft picks. Plus Randle and Gobert can have a competition to see who disappears more in the playoffs.

Valid but with the caveat that in the way way back some greats benefitted from being the tallest, biggest dudes surrounded by white people. Like Russell and to some extent Wilt. Wilt would be really really good today and Russell would be a Ben Wallace type. But all time greats?Yeah, that's where folks lose me when they talk about other eras and want to just "hot tub time machine" guys into other eras.
If todays top players were playing in earlier eras, they would have access to the same training, coaching, nutrition, etc. as players of that era and would be different players.
If greats from the past were in todays era, they'd be taking advantage of what is available today.
Bottom line, it's pretty safe to say that a great player will find a way to be great in virtually any era.

Be a great deal for NY but no chance it happens. NY would have to part with Quickley or Grimes....and they might be more interested in Fournier's close to expiring deal. And Roby is a FA, he is not under contract.ESPN is out here trying to make me change my pants at work. Robinson, Fournier, McBride or Quickley plus 3 1st rounders might get it done. Getting Hart might help the Knicks part with Quickley or Grimes.
Can KAT and Randle play together? Maybe.....if not? The Knicks trade Randle at the deadline and attach a 1st rounder or 2 to get couple role players.....they would still have a bunch of picks......

Pelicans "made one call" about Jarrett Allen per @JakeLFischer today. Have to believe Cavaliers asked for at least one of Herb/Dyson/Trey to even consider a trade, given this @ChrisFedor report from a few days ago. cleveland.com/cavs/2023/06/c… Wouldn't give up any 1 of the 3 for JA.
I would not make any big moves if I was the Cavs.....just need to let it grow organically. Young teams with no experience never win the playoffs early on.Not sure what this could be

They will get there. They have talent. Just have to fill in on the margins. Not sure what Gallinari's deal is, but he would be a good role guy if they could get him from the Wizards....if he is healthy thati s.
as a third big that doesnt play big minutes, I think they could keep him on a similar regiment they had with Love....I think he would be a good compliment to Mobley and Allen.Counting on Gallinari to be healthy is a waste of time.
