You could be right.

I just like Rui more, I guess.

Luckily, you don’t actually have to choose.

You have them both.

:2cents:

Reaves can be hard to quantify because of his style.

He's like a poor mans Ginobili. He has a weird, herky-jerky style that doesn't look like it should work, but somehow does.

The question for Reaves is going to be whether or not he's able to sustain that style like Ginobili did.

Rui has a more "traditional" style that seems like it should be more sustainable.

I agree with all of this. I just don't think ownership realizes how important it is to the local fanbase to have a player that loves Utah. Basketball reasons he is the clear choice to trade, fan morale you are taking a significant gamble.
Believe me, I get it.

Not many players have actually WANTED to be a Clipper during my fandom.

Which is why it hurt to see Crawford, Lou Will and Caron Butler traded.

Please, PUHLEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEE…..

Just STFU about this already.

This fucking guy made Miami miss out on Beal.

Lavine is still on the board.

Might be time to pivot.

Love Dame the player.

But, he has no balls in this situation.

Just say what you want to do and stop stringing these teams along.

It's just surreal at this point.

We know the Blazers want to try to put a contender around Dame, but don't want to give up Scoot to do it.

We know Dame wants to try to get a title in Portland, isn't good with teaming with guys who are 2-3 years away and wasn't happy that they kept the #3 pick.

So, just go on with the off-season, see what the Blazers are able to do...if Dames happy with it...great.

If he's not...move him.

But mostly....both sides need to stfu until a decision is made.

Yeah...it's getting tiresome.

ESPN is out here trying to make me change my pants at work. Randle contract is enough of a step back Wolves may be able to retain Mcdaniels and Edwards without hitting the second apron. Randle duplicates enough of KAT skills, while simultaneously opening room for more Reid minutes. Wolves restock their barren draft picks. Plus Randle and Gobert can have a competition to see who disappears more in the playoffs.

I think Minny could have gotten a return like that for KAT last year.

I don’t think so anymore though.

I could be wrong since Danny Ainge broke the trade market last summer, but I don’t think Minny gets more than 1 or 2 firsts with that deal.

Both sides are being stubborn as fuck.

They've been doing the same song and dance for 3 years now. It's not gonna get any better. You're stuck. It's over. There's no magical combination of roster moves that's going make you a Finals team. You've been given this magical off ramp that's rare in the NBA where both sides can end it and there's no animosity from anyone be it the player, the team, or the fanbase. A mutual understanding that its over, everyone goes their separate ways and there's still love. Yet the team and the player are determined to fuck this up by not committing to it. The longer this drags on, the more likely it is people are going to turn on someone.

It's become one of those marriages where even the kids are like "You 2 just need to hurry up and get divorced already".
