Cavs deal would have to be a three way. Their movable pieces would be LaVert sign and trade or Jarrett Allen. They aren’t dealing Mitchell Garland or Mobley. They just don’t have 39 million worth of movable pieces that would make it worth the Sixers while to part with Harris. The movable pieces don’t match what the Sixers need. They have cheaper and better LaVert in Maxey. They have a better 5 in Embiid > Allen. This one would have to be a three way. The only player I like for the Sixers on the Cavs roster is Okoro and he’s not much of an asset right now.
Yeah it doesn’t make sense for CLE. Harris’ salary is too high. Now like you said if it was some kind of 3-way trade with the Cavs giving up a pick and less salary-maybe-but overall seems unrealistic.

Cavs are looking for a wing that can shoot. Seems like this player will most likely be a bench player. They don’t have the assets to grab a nice starting wing unless they give up one of their big 4 and that seems very unlikely

Not a fan of taking back terrible deals, so I would punt the year and use that money in free agency the following year.
If Harden comes back (likely now) you won’t be able to spend the Harris cap space when he comes off. Honestly, to make the Harris trade you hope to get two guys back. One that helps as a 3 and D wing that can play the small forward role and another guy who represents 3-4 more years of a contract the team wants out of. It would have to be something like this

Harris would immediately be the best wing shooter on the team. 3 years ago 39% 2 years ago 37% (adjusting to more catch and shoot with Harden) and this past year 39%. Harris is definitely a fit for you guys basketball wise.

I'm holding out hope that Harden comes back on a one year deal.

It's not going well.........

Latest talk I’ve heard is “team friendly deal”. Who knows what that actually looks like. If it’s a team option for year 2, I’ll give dude 50 million this year.

If he thrives as a starter they could flip Jones for something at trade deadline....if they don't want to keep him.
Jones is an expiring contract. Not going to get much for him that you could really use

WAS is one of the worst run organizations, if not the worst. They give Beal a huge contract and they can’t get one 1st for him. Zinger didn’t have the best contract but he played well, they got nothing for him as well. So you lose your best 2 players and net ZERO picks. Meanwhile Boston improves with a championship roster and nets not one but two picks. Pretty crazy.

if the sixers are willing to eat Lonzo, i think that makes a lot of sense.

they really only moved up this year, so it's like 1.5 picks.

Boston got more talent. i'm curious how the fit works. But I'm willing to find out.

Zinger had an opt out, so he had the power to make this deal happen or kill it. So the Wiz didn't have a ton of leverage here.

Rumors are they want TT back

Brad's inability to figure out the C spot killed them.

cost them the full MLE, and desmond bane.

Although he probably doesn't take Bane since he took 2 guards in that same draft.

Yeah Washington screwed themselves but still…the return was not good. That can’t happen when you lose your top 2 players

Dear Draymond

You should get every last dollar you can.

Do not give the warriors any kind of discount. They clearly don't value your services.

Get that money from another year.

Signed,

Someone who clearly, clearly has no ulterior motive for the Warriors being worse next year...

Celtics tried to pull a fast one on your boys @Mecca lol

I mean, it was known he had an injury. He missed a game in the ECF for it.

So not really a fast one. More a matter of degree

Bulls were already in need of a PG, they would then need to find 2.

Lonzo is probably never playing again, so he's just dead matching salary.

Bulls have the dude they drafted from Illinois and will likely bring White back since he's an RFA.
