... Horford had nothing left come playoff time...
^ This is an overstatement.

Big Al is clearly on the downslope of his career... and his shot wasn't great during this playoff run... but he played some decent defense and he does still represent a threat from 3 pt range... he has value as a role player.

I think they’re better for sure. Porzingas will score 20 PPG and give them a solid pick and roll defender and rim protection. Horford had nothing left come playoff time. This also keeps his minutes down with Porzingas and RWIII in the rotation.
Yep.

Think Boston is a lot better and when either Tatum or Brown is off they have a 3rd scorer who can help pick up the slack.

Probably off the bench at this point in his career....for say 18-20mpg.

You'd love Zinger on Miami.
I would because he would be a perfect fit next to Bam. Unless other major moves are made, Boston isnt as scary in the playoffs now. Embiid would love to have Porzingis guarding him instead of Al Horford for example. Also he cant switch on screens as timelord and Al can. Let's see what else they do though. Offseason just started

I disagree, slightly.

Boston had an unbalanced roster... guard heavy. This move helps balance things out.

There is also the added/improved draft capital to factor in.

The big risk is the potential for injuries to torpedo the C's chances of a title. But aside from that, this move is a net positive.
I agree.

White and Brown start at G and you have Brog and Pritchard on the bench.

Disagree. Porzingas actually does a pretty decent job against him. Embiid in the playoffs is more about Embiid settling than it is the opponent.

Well... Boston still has Al Horford... so...

And Porzingis is a pretty decent defender who does have the ability to switch on screens. He's probably better at it than Al Horford at this point in Big Al's career.

Perhaps... I don't think the Celtics are inclined to move him, though.

Horford can be a valuable role player on a championship roster... and the C's have eyes on a championship.

If you're keeping RWIII and adding Porzingis, when does he play?

Well... all 3 of those guys are injury concerns.

Therefore:
  • All 3 should have their minutes managed during the regular season. There will be plenty of playing time for all 3.
  • If one guy goes down for a significant period of time, you have some insurance there.
  • Even in the playoffs, there is gonna be a rotation as guys need rest. Furthermore: Horford is not a fulltime guy anymore... and RWIII isn't necessarily a huge minute player, either. There will be enough minutes to go around.

He’s clearly basing on his favorite player. Ofc he doesn’t really believe Paul George is the greatest, lol.

Yeah you're right. But it's funnier to pretend he actually meant what he said.

Glad the draft's tonight. Kinda tired of hearing about Wembenyama.

I think depth players are going to need to be cheaper than Horford, given they just added $36M for Zinger and have Brown's extension upcoming.
