Schedule release in 2 hours.

The 3 main things i look for my team when the schedule is released

  1. Number of national tv games
  2. First month/last month schedule to see if they can start and end well
  3. Longest road trip/home stand
1) 16 only. Very low number for a team that just made the finals
2) On the road for 12 of their first 16 so early season schedule will be tough

I’m curious how this rule affects harden when they made an agreement to be an optin and trade
Who made an agreement for the opt in and trade? Neither the Sixers nor Morey agreed to that. The Sixers made no contract offer and FA started and he had nowhere to go. He opted in because that was the only way he was getting paid 35.6 million and then he immediately demanded a trade after opting in. There was no agreement. The Harden opt in created problems with their off season. Harden opting in left no money for Shake Milton to be brought back. Harden opting in made the BBall Paul Reed situation more complicated. They lost the opportunity to drive his market and sign him before Utah went and blew up his salary. The Sixers didn’t ask for any of this. Everything I’ve read is that the Sixers wanted to part ways with Harden before Harden said he was done with the Sixers.

The national TV number will increase if you get Dame
Not really. This is set in stone for the most part. They change a game or 2 later if a team end up being really bad but not much.

The team who just made the finals shouldn’t have fewer national tv games than the kings. Im waiting for the full list of national tv games by team to come out so i can laugh again

Yep, I'm going to side with you on that one!

Philly was never going to offer him a new contract and he knew it, let alone a max offer. And no other team was going to give him big bucks in FA either so he took the $35m and is now whining that "promises were broken". I call bullshit.

For a guy who is so immensely talented, he sure is a whiny little bitch when things don't go EXACTLY his way.

Then trade him

You’re getting more than if he opted out anyway

What does it matter? Do you really want to listen to Doris Burke over your local announcers?

Maybe. Maybe not. Unless the trade sends back expiring contracts, it’s not better than letting him walk. The Sixers aren’t going to trade him for reduced value. If that’s the move, they’ll do it around the deadline when the idea of an expiring 35.6 million next summer is more enticing to teams.

The clippers have loads of expiring deals

So what’s the problem…oh wait it’s the one guy who doesn’t have an expiring deal lol

And there lies another problem - trade him for what?

At this point I doubt any team is going to offer something the Sixers are willing to accept.

If they were willing to let him walk if he opted out, than anything that is expiring plus picks is profit

It matters a lot when it comes to awards actually. It is the biggest reason that Bam has yet to win DPOY as a lot of the voters are focusing on the TNT/ESPN/ABC games to determine who win most of the awards

Agreed! I hate nationally televised games. They don’t do their homework. They show up and mail it in. They can talk about James Harden and Joel Embiid on a telecast but when it comes to the rest of the team they don’t know shit. I would much rather watch the local telecast.

I think BKS is just focused on this as a sign of respect. You have to check out Heat Twitter (or X) to understand it. I’ve never seen a fan base that cries more playing the disrespect card. They’re convinced that the league office hates them and the media doesn’t respect them. They should just change the name of the franchise to the Miami Karens.

The Clippers expiring deals don’t actually make the Sixers better. They don’t need to be in a hurry to do this. The best case scenario right now is for a team (like the Bulls) to realize that shit ain’t working and then they make a deal for Harris and Harden with $75 million dollars worth of expiring contracts. That may not come until December or later.

We are no different than Sixers fans with all the crying you guys did on twitter during the MVP race last year

The biggest reason Bam has yet to win a DPOY award is because there are better defenders out there, not the national tv schedule, lol.

Memphis only had 18 national tv games last year when JJJ won it

I disagree. You are talking about a major award in the sport. Meanwhile, Heat fans are scouring the internet for the national tv schedule and counting up how many times people are on TNT or ESPN, they’re getting all up in their feels about lazy commentators continuing to refer to guys as undrafted, they’re blaming the whole world and the media for running down Herro as an asset, like Portland’s decision making on a player stems from what the media says bwahahaha. Then it became the league is picking on them because Silver sent a memo around about Dame’s agent calling teams and poisoning the water. It’s all very sad and thirsty. For such a proud franchise that’s been around a relatively short time with a ton of success it’s just a bad look.
