They need to engage Toronto
They have.

Takes two to tango.

Breaking things up and selling them off for parts has never been seriously entertained in private conversations I’ve had. Publicly the stance hasn’t been all that different. The Raptors don’t see themselves as all that inferior — if at all — to the Miami Heat, who have made the NBA Finals two of the last four seasons.

Speaking of Anunoby, there is a growing sense among executives who have called the Raptors (albeit with some caution) that Pascal Siakam may be easier to deal with than Anunoby currently. One savvy executive did mention that he felt that was a means to judge market value if and when the Raptors do decide to trade Anunoby. However, it’s fair to say front offices are pretty worn out on the attempts by Toronto to get “blood from a stone” as one executive put it at the deadline in any deal. Multiple sources have described the Raptors as frustrating to deal with. So why keep calling? “There are only 29 teams to work with.”

Lillard, by all accounts, prefers to remain with Portland, and the Trail Blazers have not shown any willingness to discuss the seven-time All-Star with inquiring teams, league sources told Yahoo Sports. The Blazers view this entire offseason as their canvas to fortify a contender around Lillard, not just this week’s NBA draft, and free agency will bring additional opportunity to bolster this roster beyond plans to re-sign Jerami Grant.

They can basically sign grant and use the mle and that’s it….

They have some contracts and a first to trade for O’Neal also works

But it’s not ideal

It depends on what Portland wants. Some teams want proven players while others want expiring contracts/future draft picks. What i do know is that Miami is not breaking up a duo that made it to the finals 2 of their 4 years together and was a missed shot away last season from 3 appearances in 4 years.
If they are going to take a 30 mil a year Hero and continue to lose, they might as well keep a 40 mil a year Lillard.

Proven young talent or high draft picks would be my guess.

Miami has neither.

Dame doesn’t have a no trade clause.

They won’t trade him for garbage just because he wants to play with his friend.

Sounds like Pascal is more gettable than OG.

Someone mentioned Trent in another post.

Didnt Portland trade him there to avoid paying him?
Can anybody actually do a deal with Toronto right now? Word on the street is that Masai is smoking crack and any deal with him would entail getting fleeced. He’s over valuing his assets right now and overplaying a bad hand with no direction and a shit ton of “well this doesn’t fit”.

I had forgotten about that...wonder if that's a deal-breaker (especially at his PO).
Dunno.

They gave Simons a bag.

If they move him with the pick, maybe paying Trent Jr becomes more palatable.

Do you agree with Masai that the Raps are on the same level as the Heat?

I do not….lol

They need better connectors to make those pieces fit.

Also….

Gotta be careful trading for OG.

Dude keeps crying about a bigger role.

He would probably still be the #3 guy in Portland.

Whatever 1st round pick they get in a potential trade for dame won't be high as those teams expected to be good after getting Dame. Key is having multiple picks to offer but if Portland want talent to be a mediocre team than good luck because no team is going to give up a top guy for Dame because they all want Dame to play with their top guys

At the end of day, if you trade dame then you should go into rebuilding as the wizards are doing with beal

This is the time to trade him since you can theoretically get scoot to replace him.

You don’t get chances like this very often

I wish the Clippers would blow it up.
It wouldn’t be the big dump if they decide to blow it up but if they can reload with young pieces and picks for Kawhi and PG13 would ya?
Gordon RoCo Mann for Tobias Harris and Danuel House?

The point is teams like the Knicks have damn near double digit picks and young talent.

Several teams can beat your offer without having Portland eat Duncan Robinson or Hero.

Thunder, Jazz, Knicks, Nets can all beat what you can offer.

Im taking any of the Thunders youngsters, Quickley, Toppims,Grimes and 4 or 5 picks over what you have.

They shooting....i respect it

Shooters shoot

Things like this and what @Mecca pointed out about looking at a deal for Bam make it look like they are going to commit to Dame.

If that's the case, the Blazers could become very interesting this off-season.

Hell no…lol

The Clippers are too stubborn to do the smart thing.

The Portland trade would be awesome because they would have to send us Simons, maybe Sharpe for salary matching purposes.

They Love Mann.

Wouldn’t give him up for FVV.

They most certainly won’t dump him for Tobias part 2….lol

Nice try though.

They’re probably sending him back East

So that helps
