So, not only is Portland not giving up Dame, they want Miami to surrender Bam?

They are not a serious franchise. Gtfo here with that.

Hell no. Miami had a similar record due to a lot of injuries. Toronto could very well have their backcourt walk this summer. I don't know how much of Masai's comments can just be attributed to negotiation thru the media.

Portland doesn't have any expirings to deal really, which complicates any trades. Simons can be moved, but Nurkic is signed for 3, Nassir for 4, and the rest are dumpable non-guaranteed and club options, but small scale. I'm assuming they would want to keep Sharpe, but maybe not if they move all in for Dame?
Masai has to be trolling.

I keep hearing FVV could go to Orlando, where he lives in the off-season, if Toronto doesn’t give him 30 plus per.

Even with him, they aren’t the fucking Heat.

I love Pascal, Scottie and OG individually.

On the same roster?

Eh.

@fightinfunbags

Just saw Pacers might be interested in Tobias Harris.

Yep. I was poking around and came up with this. Meh. Hield’s shooting helps them but that would 3 shit defenders in their closing group with Harden Maxey and Hield. Would probably hope for a 3 team deal with them getting Miles Turner involved. Obviously with Embiid Sixers don’t have a use for Turner. This move gets rid of Harris but for me doesn’t actually make the Sixers better.

I think the teams hoping to land Harrison Barnes, that miss, will turn to Tobias.

Hey, @fightinfunbags

Are we now in the 2023-24 salary?

Don’t we still have a week?
Ohhhh that’s a layer I didn’t consider. Can they make trades right now pre new league season based on 2022-23 numbers? I’m in the dark.

I’ve said it before but Harrison Barnes is the perfect piece for the current group of Embiid Tucker Harden Maxey. I don’t think they can make it work though. Would have to be sign and trade.
1. I like Barnes but not to the tune of $39 million a year
2. I don’t know that the Kings value Tobias Harris. If the goal is the cap savings of Harris 39 mil coming off the books next year, just let Barnes walk and you get the cap savings immediately.

If they are going to take a 30 mil a year Hero and continue to lose, they might as well keep a 40 mil a year Lillard.

Proven young talent or high draft picks would be my guess.

Miami has neither.

Dame doesn’t have a no trade clause.

They won’t trade him for garbage just because he wants to play with his friend.
yah.....as far as assets and team matches go, Miami does not seem to be a match for Portland unless Dame does something to try and force his way there - which, at least right now, does not seem to be the case. Herro is still young and missed a decent amount of games the last couple seasons too.....if I was to trade Dame and rebuild- I would go for young cheap talent and picks- not a guy who has already been paid and, while is good, doesnt really move the needle.

Yeah.

That’s why folks are saying Bill Simmons is on fucking crack.

Zion’s trade number is currently still like 14 mil.

If he’s traded, it will be after the draft.

Because of the cap, you couldn’t even swap him for Simons without having to add another guy.

On the one hand, Tyler helped the Heat reach 2 NBA Finals.

On the other hand, he missed Damn near all the games and is on a rookie max.

Im not shitting on him.

I actually like him, certainly more than a guy like Poole.

But, he can’t be the centerpiece of a trade for Dame for a team like Portland.

The gaps between near franchise level players has been to wide for them not to wring every drop of blood from that trade stone.

What has it been?

Drexler, Aldridge, Dame in the last 25 years?

Roy could have been if his body held up.

Not Gonna even get started on Oden.

Need to trade him before he falls off and it is a beal trade

That extension he signed could get ugly
