Lol no.

Peak Shaq would destroy Embiid. Don’t get me wrong, Embiid would get his as well on offense, but Shaq was unstoppable.

Peak Shaq would undoubtedly be the best player in the NBA today and I strongly believe the Sixers win the title with Shaq instead of Embiid.
It's a different game, Jokic might be better for today's game. Embiid too.

Yup that deal with the Celtics is pretty easy

Only problem I can see is done Brown care about winning? He doesn't have to sign his extension. You can't risk trading Dame for 1 season of Brown to see him walk away

You know who's not an underrated passer? Jokic.
True, however Shaq would still easily dominate everybody. He’d get everyone in foul trouble (especially with how they call the fouls now in today’s NBA) trying to stop him from scoring.

Put Shaq in his prime in today’s NBA and there’s no doubt in my mind he’d be the best player right now. All these small ball lineups you see now wouldn’t cut it against someone like him.

if you were the Cavs would you consider a Garland centered deal? I would not- but as a win-now move it would be intriguing- and he would def. be the best asset that could get I would say.

I wouldn’t because I don’t think the Cavs are as close as Philly is, and Garland fits their window better.

Embiid isn’t stopping Shaq.

But…

If you think Shaq is the best player in the league today, joke is on you.

Rules have changed and the game is changed to greatly devalue Shaq’s skill set.

You can’t just throw it to a big in the low post and watch him work anymore.

All the best bigs today have multiple offensive skill sets.

Shaq would be good today. But there is a reason bugs who can’t score from the perimeter and struggle to defend pick and roll have been devalued.

That is Shaq.

He would still be good for sure. But nowhere near the best player.

You don’t have to play man anymore.

It is easier to have multiple bodies loaded and ready to jam up the post out of a zone.

Shaq would also get attacked relentlessly on pick and roll unless his team played mostly zone.

Like I said, Shaq would still be a very good player.

But his skill set does not fit the modern game all that well at all.

The Philly deal would be better because Maxey is much cheaper than Garland so the Maxey deal comes with 39 million of expiring contract in Tobias Harris. The problem is that Dame doesn’t want to play in Philly.

You can’t fault some teams for busts. I mean you just never know

That one was Cleveland’s fault.

Everyone was shocked when they took Bennett at 1.

It wasn’t a great draft class at the top. Obviously Giannis and Gobert were in it, but they were not projected as top picks either.

Oladipo was the guy I remember being projected most at 1.

Cavs reached to pick Bennett.

Not a great night for the Jaden Springer experience. He was 3-11 and 0-4 from 3 in 26 minutes. 11 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Meh result for summer league for a guy I want in the rotation. At the same time, he’s counted on to be The Dude in summer league and in G League. But he’s a complimentary piece if he plays a role for the Sixers next year. He looked solid defensively which may give him more run with Nurse. Overall though, wanted more from him.

Yup.

Only difference being, Portland probably wants to trade Dame.

But, would rather he be the one to request it.

Still, they could hold firm like Brooklyn until they get a palatable deal from Miami.

Or, they can trade him to a good team, just not his first choice, like the Spurs did Kawhi.

Dame would have to decide if he will sit or not.

I do not for a second believe they will trade him to a bottom feeder.
Do you think he would sit out?

He is a different cat....I think he could very well sit out if traded somewhere he didn't want to go. And then the new team would be forced with trading him to the Heat or another team he would want to go....for scraps.
