Exactly why more and more I feel OT at 14 is the best option. Mayer may be there but there are decent TEs to be had later and not decent OTs
And a TE that can block like Gronk can really help our O-line.
Henry is not a good blocker.
Snith is too expensive to be solely blocking

Most guys saying WR are just rubber stamping the idea that we need a WR more than anything. We don't.
Walters Had the Pats picking Skoronski in their first pass. Thay have a WR now.

We all know that Harry has soured Bill on taking a chance with any WR. Taking Thorton #2 last year was a surprise.

WR "might" be a 4th ro 5th round pick. Way too much need at OL, CB and Safety to chance another rookie.

I think he'll be reluctant to sign a FA WR after Agholor.

Well, we need an O Line coach that knows what the hell he is doing.

Patricia must have some real dirt on BB why he has not already been released is beyond me

Will Paris Johson be available at #14?
It's possible.

There could be a run on OTs. Teams were scurrying everywhere looking for IR replacements, stealing every OT off every teams PS.

I like him, 100 plus catches and he was thrown a TE screen 10 times last year. That and he's a YAC TE like Gronk.

I stated that BB might move up to get a OT, not a TE.
But not near the blocking ability. If Mayer is not there I use a late day pick on one like

If Skoronski is there at #14 he'd better take him unless there are some underlying issues we don't know about?

It's Skoronski on a podium all by himself, then comes the rest of the class.

But I think he's gone before 14 and I'm not sure how much I would give up to go get him?

Really? Why? He is a true LT
He started as RG at Ohio State in 2021.

He is a road grader type kind of like Strange. The two of them on the left side could really open some huge holes for Stevenson.

I do think he may be there at 14.

He's a smart kid. Has already started some charities, one of the is a Vet charity. Plus he can play multiple positions something BB likes.

He won't be there at 14 IMO there are four or five decent OTs

Not 1st round level talent OTs per every source I've read.

This mock is different with Paris Johnson going before Skoronski. Skoronski #13 to the Jets. Could BB trade with Hou to go get him?

I'd also be ok with the DB the mock has for NE. Especially if we can snag an OT in FA.

Kid body slammed someone from TCU in the NCCG Monday night, you are right he is a beast. I was really interested in the game because their starting LG Xavier Truss who is 6'7 also played at my son's HS team Bishop Hendricken, but played later. I believe he was a freshman when Kwity Paye from the Colts was a senior , and read that he is the highest rated player to come out of RI. Little Rhody doesn't put out a lot of NFL talent but kid was lucky enough to be starting on back to back Championship teams at Georgia. And what a beatdown it was, never a game at all, TCU only scored because of a big play on blown coverage.

Your very post has two OTs being taken. We have a need for OT question is IMO if what you say who do we have on staff to make that evaluation. Who do we have telling BB hey these OTs may be there in round two? How much of a risk does that become. I don't agree there is not first round OT talent I think there are three or four that could go early. Combine may shed light on this.

Not sure who they have on staff. It won't be Patricia. Maybe whomever they bring in? BB has had good luck drafting and finding FA Olinemen. Was it Ernie, Scar, Josh? Maybe a combo of them all?

The combine showcases athleticism. Sure it give the evaluators something else to use in their evaluation, but it doesn't hold as much weight as their collegiate career. They aren't skilled position players.

We can agree to disagree on how many OTs will go first round. I, and most pundints think 3 or less. I think maybe 2? It's just a weak class. That doesn't mean one or two mid to late rounders won't become all pros.

If I'm the GM and either Paris or Skoronski are already gone, I'm not using #14 on anyone else. Find one in FA and take a few mid round flyers.
