I can see trading back, I think there is reasonable talent to do soPatriots Reportedly Expected To Do One Of Two Things With 14th Pick
People around the NFL reportedly expect the New England Patriots to do one of two things with the 14th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.nesn.com
We need an OT. I can't see the chips falling like the pundits are calling for.I can see trading back, I think there is reasonable talent to do so
There are IMO 4 OTs in the top 15. At 14 there is a real possibility all four may be gone. I think trading down depends on what BB does in FA, I have to assume at least a RT is on his radarWe need an OT. I can't see the chips falling like the pundits are calling for.
I just saw one today that said we should trade down from #14 10 places and take Paris Johnson?????? WTF?
If Paris is gone, another good tackle is available.
2nd round is trickier.....
I see Anton Harrison as a 2nd rounder, Dewand Jones is borderline 1st round pick?????Phil Perry's latest mock. Then he makes a crazy first round selection that BB would never, ever do.
14. Los Angeles Chargers (via Patriots): Jordan Addison, WR, USC
- Chargers receive: Patriots' No. 14, No. 107 and No. 143 picks
- Patriots receive: Chargers' No. 21 and No. 53 picks
I don't see the Pats giving up 107 AND 143. This would be something that the Chargers would initiate and moving up 7 spots has a price tag. Chargers get #14 and #143 and the Patriots get #21 and #53 seems much more reasonable.
Perry has the patriots taking Jaxon Smith Njiba Ohio State.
I think he'd take Dwaand Jones OSU or Anton Harrison OKL.
BOB and others from the staff were at the combine. There's an OT that no one has discussed and he played this past year for OB and spent some time interviewing with the Patriots..There are IMO 4 OTs in the top 15. And BOB would be familiar with his skill set. He may be a sleeperBOB and others from the staff were at the combine. There's an OT that no one has discussed and he played this past year for OB and spent some time interviewing with the Patriots..
His name is Tyler Steen. Nowhere near the guys at the top but is projected to go in the mid rounds. He transferred from Vanderbilt to Alabama and was the starting LT and made the Senior Bowl. Don't be surprised if his name gets called by the Patriots around the 4th round.
He allowed 16 QB Hurries, 2 QB Hits and 2 QB Sacks in 2022 in 788 snaps.
BOB and others from the staff were at the combine.
And I read that BOB was there on Thursday and Friday and left Friday night for some other shindig back in Mass.I just read the exact opposite. I read that none for the Pats top brass were there.
The New England Patriots sent four members of their coaching staff to the NFL combine this week. Wide receivers coach Troy Brown, corners coach Mike Pellegrino, special teams coordinator Cam Achord, and special teams assistant Joe Houston were all traveling down for the combine, per the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan.
