BOB and others from the staff were at the combine. There's an OT that no one has discussed and he played this past year for OB and spent some time interviewing with the Patriots..

His name is Tyler Steen. Nowhere near the guys at the top but is projected to go in the mid rounds. He transferred from Vanderbilt to Alabama and was the starting LT and made the Senior Bowl. Don't be surprised if his name gets called by the Patriots around the 4th round.

He allowed 16 QB Hurries, 2 QB Hits and 2 QB Sacks in 2022 in 788 snaps.
He had 40000000000 QB hurries.
32" arms? My cut-off for tackle is 34" arms
Guard, Tyler Steen is listed as #3 tackle by walter but I just can't get past all those QB hurries.

I overheard a conversation by Saban and BB.
BB, "he looks good!"
Saban, "yah, but he can't play a lick!"

The Patriots received fourth-round (No. 135) and sixth-round (No. 210) compensatory draft picks from the NFL on Thursday. The picks were a result of losing compensatory free agents J.C. Jackson and Ted Karras. So now the Patriots have the following draft picks: 1-14; 2-46; 3-76 (from Carolina); 4-107 (from L.A. Rams); 4-117; 4-135; 6-184 (from Carolina); 6-187 (from Las Vegas); 6-192; 6-210.

10 picks what to do, what to do?

Use 7 along with trading up or down and gaining more picks

Trade 3 for more picks in this draft and next years.

Would like to see us have at least one 5th round pick.

#14 - If the Patriots sign a free agent LT or RT, then give serious consideration to trading down and getting a lower 1st round pick and a 2nd and possibly a 5th.

Who are the teams that might be willing to make a deal?

LA Rams. It would cost them their entire 2023 draft. #36, #69, #167, #18, #191, #251 and a 2024 2nd or 3rd.
Seattle. #20 and #51
LA Chargers. #21, #53, #156

A deal with the Seahawks or Chargers would allow Bill to trade down again and possibly stay in the first round and get a third second round pick as well another third rounder.

Knowing BB, the possibilities are endless.

Running a thought by you guys:

Could drafting Darnell Washington at TE and picking up a 2nd or 3rd round OT improve the O-line more than taking an OT at #14?

Could it? Maybe but I am worried less about a TE that can block I would rather take a shot on a legit LT. I still feel RT in FA, draft in ORDER LT, CB, IOL.

TE Later I would rather have a solid O line with a route running sure handed TE then trying to have a TE cover an obvious O Line weakness.

Keep T. Brown on the left and sign McGlinchey for RT. McDermott will be his back up. Draft a LT. If this can be done, that opens the board to draft for any need. Then again, sign FA TE Geisecki and you have a chipper who can also catch.

Sign a couple of guys and then that opens the door to trade down.

I'd rather have a top T at #14. Not sure we'll get a chance at a #14 worthy tackle.....

Currently we have 11 picks, no way BB takes 11. So questions abound.

1. How many pick in total do you see BB taking.

2. Predict how many trades BB makes?

3. Does he move down with 14 to earn more picks early?

4. At this point in time is OT still the priority?

5. (Opinion) How well does he use this draft to set up next years draft?

We need extra picks so Bill can draft several punters.
