Should play a big role at World Juniors too. I think most of what I’ve seen has him centering their 1st line.
Cant wait for the WJC.We have 3 players in it.

Oliver Bonk Canada
Gauthier USA
Alex Ciernik Slovakia

Side note Matvei Michkov would be in it except Russia has been banned from competing.

Risto on the top PP last night again while Sanheim sat. Either Sanheim is still hurt or Torts has lost his mind. :heh:
Sanheim has been playing a ton of minutes, so combined with hurt/sick, shaving a few minutes from this TOI might not be a bad thing.

I agree he could use the rest but we really need a better option on the PP instead of putting Risto in his spot. Maybe Walker could be a better option.

At this point, go with 5 forwards or 4 forwards and 1 defensemen on the PP.

It seems like oppo D is always right on top of our point shots.
And when we're killing a penalty, seems like we are always chasing.

But, really can't fault the penalty kill.
Just need less suckage on the PP.

This is where someone like Gauthier could come in handy if we make the playoffs, we need some goal scorers, I mean we have some but we're blue collar scoring, we need a legit sniper.

Just think how good we could be if Atkinson and Laughton started chipping in offensively.

Atkinson, Laughton and Frost should be scoring a lot more so we could let Gauthier develop.

I've seen him play a couple of games, not sure if you have, but I don't think he's going to need a lot of development.
Ive seen him play over a dozen times in the last couple of WJC U18 and U20 and he isnt the greatest skater in the world and is only and offensive player. If he is going to play for Torts he needs to develop the defensive side of his game.

Your probably right, but me see personally, I'd rather have him as a pure offensive player ,especially if he's scoring regularly.

I pulled this from someone X account:

If 95 Standings Points are the cut off for Wildcard #2 the Flyers will need 56 points in the remaining 51 games of the season. An average of 1.09 standings pts per game for the next 51 games. Through 31 games they have 39 pts. An average of 1.25 standings pts per game played.

Probably just throwing stuff at the wall to see if anything works. Probably start seeing Seeler out there before too long if they keep shooting blanks. 6/71 (8.5%) since 10/30. That's dreadful haha

I was bummed the Bruins let Poitras go. Sounds like Barkey might've been the last cut for Canada as a result. The couple things I've read make him sound like a pretty intriguing prospect. A lot of 'competes ridiculously hard' type stuff.

Seems that's the new attitude here also.
