WTFC lives on !Whoops, I said Andrae, but meant Attard. Everything else feels accurate though.
Also, this probably isn't known by many of you, but we released Jay O'Brien and acquired a compensatory 2nd round pick in the '24 draft in doing so. Apparently the Flyers don't think he will make it in the Nhl. And so, drafting him 19th overall in 2018 was an epic failure, but at least we recover some of those losses.
O'Brien was another great Hextall pick. Guy literally set our organization back 10 years.WTFC lives on !

Biggest problem with that list is, the guys you want to trade or get rid of you can't, the guys that could be moved would never bring back the rewards to make it a great trade. Plus there's truly only 3 guys in this team you could trade and receive top tier talent in exchange.Flyers' Trade Tiers: Who’s Staying & Who May be on the Way Out - The Hockey Writers Philadelphia Flyers Latest News, Analysis & More
In the midst of a rebuild, almost nobody is safe from a trade. Excluding scratches, every Flyer will be categorized in a trade tier.thehockeywriters.com
I agree 100% that's where Fletcher screwed us because we cant get rid of Risto and we are paying for Hayes and TDA to play for other teams.Biggest problem with that list is, the guys you want to trade or get rid of you can't, the guys that could be moved would never bring back the rewards to make it a great trade. At this point, unless Hart truly wanted to go, I'd give him that option if I were Gm. However me personally I think if that Coots, Atkinson come back healthy it gives you a decent top 2 lines, we should be able to compete a lot better as both Coots and Atkinson are excellent two way players as is Laughton. Our main rebuild comes from our defense, we don't have a top caliber pairing nor a true quarterback that can lead a decent pp. That being said, we need to shed a few more contracts and give that money to a stud dman and a good sniper I think we're in business. To me Hart has proved he can carry a big load and will steal some games we just need to make sure to get him some help. We need a lot of these kids,( Farabee, frost etc), to take the next step anf be consistent. Here's to hoping I'm right.I agree 100% that's where Fletcher screwed us because we cant get rid of Risto and we are paying for Hayes and TDA to play for other teams.
I was reading about a trade of Hart for Zegras I cant find the article anymore. I found that as an interesting trade scenario even though i probably wouldn't do it.
It would be a miracle but i do hope this plan you have works for us as it would make for a great hockey season. At this point, unless Hart truly wanted to go, I'd give him that option if I were Gm. And if we play our cards right, that ranking should go even higher after the 2024 draft. We have 4 picks in the first two rounds, as of right now, and we'll probably acquire more at some point. Finally we'll get to cash in on the Giroux pick. Would be excellent if that ends up being 11th overall...Lol Highly unlikely for that to happen though.Over at The Athletic, Corey Pronman ranks the Flyers as having the 11th best pipeline ranking of all the teams.
They were #19 last year.

Deslauriers is a veteran, 4th liner. He might start, but he's not going to replace a youngster, let alone a defenseman. Any youngster relegated to our 4th line or the bench is probably better off having a much bigger role with the Phantoms.Deslauriers will be there which drops a young dman.
