Gerwig being left out make some sense considering how crowded the field is for movies this year. But its pretty absurd Robbie couldn't catch a nom.

Little bit of a career achievement award for Nolan and RDJ but I would say Nolan was more deserving this time around than RDJ. Not that RDJ was bad, its just a stacked field and he's had better roles
