His issue is between the ears, and AAA ain't gonna solve that.

neither is putting him on the mound for 5 or 6 innings against quality hitters in the majors. costing the team and the other 25 players on the team isn't going to help either

No argument here. Make him a reliever and be done with it. He doesn't have a starter mentality.

Well that's false, his shortest outing for us was 1.1 innings

Should just start the season in AAA or out of the bullpen if he’s not ready to be a starter and go 5-6 innings..

I think they are afraid going to the minors would harm his psyche.

With more roster announcements on Sunday, the Texas Rangers' Opening Day roster is nearly set.

With all the roster announcements to date, the Rangers have 10 spots solidified for their bullpen to start the season:

Albert Abreu (acquired in Jose Trevino trade)
Kolby Allard
Joe Barlow
Brock Burke
Matt Bush
John King
Brett Martin
Garrett Richards
Dennis Santana
Josh Sborz

Woodward said one of these 10 pitchers—he would not name who—will be starting the season on the Injured List to finish his build up for the season.

This leaves one vacant spot to be filled, which likely comes down to Spencer Patton and non-roster invitee (NRI) Greg Holland.
