2022 Texas Rangers Spring Training Thread

In my opinion, this offseason was intended to be all about the offense. midseason this year and next offseason will focus on pitching.

I think so too. Last year we could have won several more games if we had had more offense. It would have made some of our pitchers look a lot bettertoo.

In today's boxscore I noticed the home plate umpire's first name is "Nestor." I guess if you are born with the name "Nestor" you are destined to be a MLB umpire.

It’s more about if somebody gets hurt, but what he’s done has been pretty impressive. He’s resilient. It is spring training, so I’m not reading too much into it

“But I love what I see,” Woodward said. “I love the way he plays the game. I love everything about it. Whether he makes the team or not — and it’s probably unlikely at this point — the biggest thing he can take out of this is confidence.
