Emphatic no for Doug. Why hire/interview the guy? Seriously if he stuck around in Buffalo they probably would still be a bottom feeder.Steelers To Conduct Second GM Interview With Doug Whaley

Weak... Is it unofficially retired for Gary Anderson?
No 1 for Pickens.
We did the same to Jacobs and Abram.
His ties with PGH run deep. 10 years or so as a lead scouting dept coordinator for the Steelers from 2000-2010, working directly under KC for a long stretch... He played a tremendous part in the last 2 Steelers Super Bowl wins. He has a great eye for talent, but he never found a capable franchise QB in his 4 years in BUF, which was ultimately his downfall. One thing to note, his BUF predecessor (Buddy Nix) was responsible for drafting EJ Manuel in 2013 before Whaley took over the same year. He was in charge of scouting though, so he played a big part in the choice & I'm sure Nix wanted his blessing before taking him. That decision practically sunk him.Why hire/interview the guy? Steelers will hopefully be ready to remind the rest of the AFCN fans that their newfound success doesn't mean much.Love what you guys have done in FA and the draft.
AFC North be aware the Steelers ain't dead yet.
The reason Trubisky might be the best option to start is his ability to scramble over Pickett.Steelers will hopefully be ready to remind the rest of the AFCN fans that their newfound success doesn't mean much.
I'm not quite sold yet. Or I'll put it this way, until I see what this offense looks like post-Ben, I won't be buying into anything more than 9 wins. And I'm basing that on what their defense should be capable of. The offense will need to grow fast. New QBs, suspect OL, and the offensive coordinator is highly questionable. Things could snowball quickly, but they are definitely in better shape than they were this time last year.
Both are great scramblers. Pickett has a better ability to create on the move but he's not the most accurate & he tends to flush pockets early. Pickett will need to prove himself worthy this preseason or Trubisky will get the start. The reason Trubisky might be the best option to start is his ability to scramble over Pickett.
Yeah, Pickett was in college but it's a faster pace in the NFL. That's why I think Trubs is the better option, at least to start the season. Both are great scramblers. I'm not for or against either starting at the moment. Just don't know what to expect from the offensive scheme, a rookie QB, nor am I familiar enough with Trubisky, so I'm not entirely sure who can operate it the best. Just in a "wait & see" approach and obviously hoping for the best outcome.Trubs has more weapons to work with in Pitt than he did in Chi.....and he still had moments where he showed he could play.
Please can the Steelers stop attending Pirate games. We don't need that Pirate suck rubbing off on them.Old & peeling cowboy boots… check
Hog of a dip… check
Put a bottle of SoCo in his hand and call in Chesney or Brooks
“Though trade interest in Bradberry was tepid, expect a stronger market to materialize now that teams have the freedom to negotiate a deal from scratch without needing to part with any draft picks. The Eagles, Chiefs, Raiders, Bengals and Steelers are among the potential landing spots,” Duggan said.
I think they're safe considering PNC is like a 1/2 mile from Heinz... If that suck was going to rub off it would have a long time ago. Please can the Steelers stop attending Pirate games. We don't need that Pirate suck rubbing off on them.
True they are down wind it must dissipate by the time it makes it over.I think they're safe considering PNC is like a 1/2 mile from Heinz... If that suck was going to rub off it would have a long time ago.
Would be nice but considering the Steelers aren't even cap compliant... not gonna happenReally thing heavy.com is useless as tits on a bull but the bottom of this article made me wonder if they could sign Bradberry.
Ultimately it could be a better signing than Mathieu.
