Draft luck is real (like how the Warriors got Curry)

I’ve found the best run teams just let other teams shoot them selves in the foot

Tampa bay in mlb

Ravens in the nfl

It’s like their business model

First of all, stop acting like you know Greg Popovich personally.

You don’t.

Second, what does that have to do with anything I posted? When did I say or imply they could have traded scraps for Kawhi?

They had cap space to sign a max free agent and did not.
Never said I know Pop personally. That said, he went to HS with two of my uncles and it’s kind of a cultural thing here in NWI…

Second, when you say “max free agent”, who were you implying was available to them at the time? LeBron was always going to end up in LA. Paul George same deal. They only other max player available at the time leaves Kawhi via trade, and truth be told he too was going to end up in LA regardless.

Pop respects the game. He was never going to be responsible for someone else’s superteam. His hatred for the Lakers was also one motivating factor to keep the Spurs from tanking last season, among his paycheck, and others.

Colangelo and Burner Gate left the Sixers scrambling for a GM. This led to Elton Brand being thrown to the fire before he was ready and Brett Brown being given more power. They were hell bent on getting a third star regardless of fit. This is what led to the Mikal Bridges trade and them allocating their depth pieces to trades for Butler and Harris and then the poor choice of choosing Simmons over Butler and resigning Tobias to an untradeable deal. People can argue over the level of impact Adam Silver had over screwing the Sixers front office. What people can’t argue is that these decisions weren’t poor and they can’t argue that these moves didn’t have big time impact on the Sixers trajectory. The Sixers would look very different today if they were Embiid Butler Mikal Bridges and whatever you could have brought back for 22 year old Ben Simmons coming off of ROTY and then his first NBA All Star bid. If you have Bridges you don’t have the pick that gets you Tobias Harris.
So it’s Silver’s fault… Your tough guy act is out of line because you bitch and moan as much as anyone on here.

Go cry about election fraud while you’re at it.

Johnny Flynn LMAO!

Anyone who watched college ball knew Curry was going to be a star.

Ankles, I get it, but he was worth the risk.

one of those guys where the scouting report was 100% accurate and yet it just didn't' matter anyway.

Damn, forgot they picked Rubio before Flynn. WOW!

They had back to back picks as I believe it was Washington gave them a top 10 pick for a bunch of deadwood

One of the most baffling moves that I can remember

Yup, Curry was a unique type of player coming out that the league has never seen before.

Now every college hooper like Fredette, or Hield are compared to him.
