One team in the West wins the title so the West is stronger? I mean, they might be but not because GS won the title as that does nothing to make the other 14 teams better.

Was the East the better conference in 2016 and the year Toronto won the title (2019?)? doubt anyone thins so...I sure don't.

I don't like it either.

Apparently it's mostly to generate a higher level of interest during the early part of the season and to create more importance to the games, but it pretty much just comes off as unnecessary and very gimmicky. I mean if the league really needs to resort to that kind of thing, then maybe they're doing something wrong.
Also, do they plan to do that every year?...or is it only on a temporary experimental trial run for now to see what kind of ratings they get??

And as the old saying goes, which totally applies to that silliness...if it ain't broke...don't fix it.
