West didn't win. GS won.
LOL. How dare I consider GS a West team, like any West contender has to go through the Warriors for the past 8 years (unless injuries intervened). Suns were the favored and dominant team before falling to the Warriors.

You could also say the East didn't win....because they didn't. Much more accurate.

Most of my bets are small except when me and my team do group bets.

I hit on 2 nba bets back to back nights in the regular season. Turned $10 into about 1300
Like I said, gamblers have lots to say about the wins. If you do the math overall you're likely close to even at best.

I lose a lot which is fine. I dont care if my hailmary $2 parlay dont hit or my $5 parlay dont hit. I focus on my big bets which i only try to do during football and basketball season
And that's fine, it's entertainment. All I'm saying is you're not making money doing this.

Better than last year is a pretty low bar.
A little better likely means at least the play-in tourney. Getting a healthy Davis and Lebron to the playoffs will always be interesting.

Or they go into this season to see what they can do as far as improving upon last season.

They can always revisit trades 12-20 games into the season. Or just roll with him and look forward to next summer when they add some more pieces to surround AD and James.
Different trades would be available in December too.

Not sure whats funny. James is likely gone in 2 yrs. If the lakers don't have certain pieces, it is far from a guarantee that he stays

It's also far from a guarantee that the Lakers will still want him after 2 more years, especially if he continues with the injuries.

The reality is the two guys the lakers really needed were Conley and turner

And a backup 4 (gay?)

No idea how they could swing that at This point
People are sleeping on Bryant. He's a budget version of Turner. Doesn't have the elite block numbers, but still a rim defender as well as an even better 3 pt shooter. Injuries kind of swept his progress under the rug, and really he was only available to the Lakers due to his slow recovery from those injuries. Lebron played a lot of "big" minutes last year. With Lebron, AD, Bryant, and Jones, they have options inside.

Don't get me wrong, adding Turner with the potential to extend him would be great, especially since Bryant is likely in a similar situation as Monk was last season; a likely one year rental.

What is the point?

And will games count toward regular season records?

So contrived. I don’t like it one bit.
It's too weird.
I don't like it either.

Apparently it's mostly to generate a higher level of interest during the early part of the season and to create more importance to the games, but it pretty much just comes off as unnecessary and very gimmicky. I mean if the league really needs to resort to that kind of thing, then maybe they're doing something wrong.
Also, do they plan to do that every year?...or is it only on a temporary experimental trial run for now to see what kind of ratings they get??

And as the old saying goes, which totally applies to that silliness...if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

Just my :2cents:

Yep, I'm good with some of the new stuff like the 9 and 10 play in teams. But this is dumb.

That will be a challenge too, unless he's willing to take less.

Not sure he'll have a choice. After all of the craziness, I'd be surprised if anyone offers him max money, even if he behaves himself. I think he's going to have to take fewer dollars or fewer years...maybe both.
