Makes since with whatever is.going.on with Lowry.

He missed a bunch of playoff games.

Tyler too....and Miami still gave Boston hell.

Dunno if it's a injury thing for Kyle or whatever his mystery personal issue is.

But, they need a break in case of emergency pg.

Only problem with Russ being your backup point is him actually embracing the role.

Playoffs was the hammy issue that took place in round 1. He had a good season and did what Miami asked of him. Been in the gym this summer. Should be fine.

Very little doubt in my mind that they make the finals if he or Herro was close to 90%

Yeah, I'm going to have to pass.....I'd rather deal with Ainge lol. They can keep their vastly overpriced Duncan Robinson. This trade could only happen if the Lakers GET a first.
Uh, yeah....

I didn't read the article.

I assumed they meant after he gets traded and bought out.

That's why I said he'd be fine as long as he accepted being the backup.

I thought we were way passed the point of believing anyone wants to trade for Westbrook the player.

Gotta think they meant after a buyout by like the jazz

Yeah, can't see the Heat actually trading for him. Could see them taking a flyer on a minimum deal of some sort if they didn't have a better option. But I would have doubts re: his willingness to play the role they would need him to play. I'd expect that the Heat would have their doubts too.

I just read it. It looks like it was suggested that the Heat would have to trade Lowry and Robinson to bring him in. But, I don't know if that would be the case if they were signing him after he was bought out.

You Lakers fans and your trades...why on earth would Miami want to do this?
The Talking heads put a lot of that garbage out there.

It was click bait.

Jake Fischer said yesterday the Lakers have 1 way to rid themselves of Wesbrook: UTAH.

He said that Indy shit is cap.

They aren't trading for a 50 mil dollar contract to buy it out.

Their owner has no appetite for that kind of transaction.

He also said if a team wants Turner, ALONE, they want multiple picks.

So, all these discussions have been a fun way to pass the time.

But, these writers are simply gas lighting Lakers fans.

Multiple picks for Utah's castoffs or keep Westbrook.

.....worst part?

The castoffs don't necessarily include Clarkson nor Bogdanovic because they can get a 1st for those guys individually, without eating Westbrook.

Jake seems plugged in.

I have him a notch lower than Woj/Shams.

But, I take all this shit with a grain of salt.

On!y folks who really know are the ones negotiating the deals.

But, Westbrook @ Pat Bevs presser is telling.

They are going full clown car and keeping them both with ass for shooting.

Well it makes sense that Conley would be in any Russ deal.

And yes you could get a protected first for bog, but not unprotected

Still can't own your bullshit.
It's weird when a long time poster on a trash talking sports board gets so butthurt when someone talks trash but you do you, Salty.

You guys get grief for this for a reason, it's mostly Mamba. Maybe take it up with him.

It's telling when someone posts bullshit, gets called out for it and can't bring themselves to own it.

Mamba didn't post the tweet, he just commented on it.

It's already been established that most of that shit is put out by talking heads and often times it's not Lakers fans posting it.

And you are the one who made the bullshit claim, so I'm taking it up with you.

Apparently, Clarkson is getting the most requests.

.....followed by Bog.

Conley for Russ is not ideal for the Lakers because they are holding on for dear life to the dream of landing Kyrie next Summer.

They can't give him a max as it stands.

Conley's 14 mil partial pretty much kills that, unless they move him again, which will take more picks.

I'm guessing that's the reason no deal is on the horizon.

DJ does post a ton of highly fictional bullshit.

Be it trades or free agent signings.

Can't be denied.

But, he didn't do it in this incident.

He actually hasn't done it much this Summer.

Most of these trade scenarios came from people who actually get paid to discuss this stuff.

@Shanemansj13 and I post all kinds of shit, from all types of sources....legit or not.

It's just fun.

The thing with DJ is he actually BELIEVES some of it, even when it makes zero sense for anyone outside of the Lakers.

Lets call him a Hopeless Dreamer?....lol

Both of you guys are correct.

Now stop it.

I don't like it when mommy and daddy fight!

Yeah, from what I have been reading and hearing of late...it's looking more and more likely that the Lakers will at least start the season with Westbrook on the roster as they aren't willing to part with 2 firsts unless it makes them contenders. It doesn't look like they believe there is a deal that does that.

An article I saw this morning said that it looks like they are likely to "punt" this season for cap space next season and possible off-season trades.

Maybe Russ decides to try to fix his image (would require insight he doesn't appear to have) and does well enough that something materializes before the trade deadline...but I ain't holding my breath.
