So, maybe you could keep him on the cheap?

Same room? Not gonna lie. I may or may have not had sex with the wife while babe was asleep in bassinet
Allegedly
anyone who watched the Cavs last year plainly saw they did not have enough fire power on offense.Agree with Mitchell > Sexton. But…is there a better piece the Cavs can bring back for the Sexton asset? Now add in Markkinan and their most recent lottery pick and 3 outright picks and 2 pick swaps? Your argument about this is what Cavs have to do to get a player of this caliber is sound and a strong point. I just think given the haul that they could have gotten:
1. Better player
2. Better fit (I think his game is redundant to Garland and what they want him to be)
In theory, in lineups with Mobley and Allen, Cavs have arguably the best rim protection in the league. Maybe they are thinking they can get away with the smaller guards. Have them sell out on getting in the shooter’s grill and make the opponent a driver? Not sure what the philosophy would be. In the guts of the game though, I can Okoro getting more run though because of the length you cite.Yeah but more worried about another smaller guard and less about ball dominant. Murray and Trae too but Murray is 6’5” and he can defend
Same room?
I will allow it.
In the same bed is kinda squicky.....lol
Obviously, the main stars make everything run but Okoro is so important to the future of this team imo. If he can expand his game it would make this team's ceiling that much higher. Still have my doubts about the makeup but we will see. Can’t argue with this. However, is there a bit of an excuse available? Sexton didn’t have much of anything available to him. Despite that, it’s pretty impressive how efficient his stats look despite not having the semblance of offensive talent around him.Okay.....
I see where the disconnect comes from on our difference of opinion.
You guys are looking at the X's and O's only.
Am I the only one who remembers this shit?
I'm sorry.
But, its not a coincidence that they started playing good team ball when he was out.
Obviously, Mobley made the biggest difference.
But, Garland being the guy was a huge factor too.
Various Cavs players still grow frustrated by the way Sexton dominates the ball, and opponents taunt them by saying during games, “you know he’s not going to pass you the ball.”
Report: Cavaliers teammates still frustrated by Collin Sexton dominating ball
Cavaliers veterans griped about Collin Sexton not knowing how to play early in his rookie season.nba.nbcsports.com
as I said, no doubt it's exciting as hell......only wish a deal of what we gave up was more for a position of need. Like a wing.when you are a smaller market team like the Cavs- you have to shoot your shot.
They obviously did not want Sexton back at a large contract.
I wrote a few days ago how they needed a deal like this to consolidate the roster.
the best thing about this deal- is that usually when teams make deals like this- they have vets and are trying to win-now and just keep a window open a little longer
How many teams make a deal like this and can say 100% WITHOUT A DOUBT- that NEXT year they will even be better than this year?
And as a fan is celebrating one of the 3 3s he takes going down, they’re lamenting the two buckets he gave up at the other end when he got isoed and cooked. Mitchell taketh and then he giveth away. He's not your best player.
For now, that's Garland.
By Season's end it might be Mobley.
Mitchell does give you something every team needs.
Do you remember the duel he had with Murray in the playoffs?
Both those guys went nuts.
You are going to the playoffs.
If the score gets tight, he can get you a bucket and he is unafraid.
True, but even if he was going that was likely more than half a decade away. Maybe Mobley is a reason DM would want to re-up if we want him to.I mean- this is the type of deal that makes Mobley go from- maybe/hopefully he stays in Cleveland- to why in the hell would he think about leaving?
Thanks man. I miss all my Grateful Dead concert tie dyes now. That shit should have come with one of those trigger warnings. I’m all sad now. Thanks a fucking lot.Danny was like my wife when we first moved in together and all my shit was tossed out or sold in yard sales.
He was like "this and this and all that shit over there...it has to go". lol
I feel like his comments on Sexton were just a version of SportsHoopla Punked? What are you talking about. Sexton’s true FG% is like .507. Russ best year in that metric is .493 and .465 for his career.
Just saw an article suggesting that Danny still covets the Lakers 2 first rounders. It suggested Westbrook and the 2 picks for Conley and Bog or Westbrook, Wenyen Gabriel and the picks for Bog, Clarkson, Alexander-Walker and Rudy Gay.
those guys just dont come avaliable.as I said, no doubt it's exciting as hell......only wish a deal of what we gave up was more for a position of need. Like a wing.
If you swapped Okoro out for Mikal Bridges, OG or even Lu Dort....Obviously, the main stars make everything run but Okoro is so important to the future of this team imo. That is a good point.Jazz are over the player limit. They're gonna have to do something. I ain't giving up 2 picks for any of that. I'd offer them Westbrook and 1 pick for whatever they need to offload.
