Because, he has a chucker that isn't passing?I mean- this is the type of deal that makes Mobley go from- maybe/hopefully he stays in Cleveland- to why in the hell would he think about leaving?
Mitchell will only be more efficient on a Cleveland team that has much better offensive talent.Because, he has a chucker that isn't passing?
What are you talking about. Sexton’s true FG% is like .507. Russ best year in that metric is .493 and .465 for his career. No he wasn't. Check his true shooting % and his true 3 pt % along with his PER. Not good. Sexton is an energy player who hustles, and like westbrick, eventually that doesn't work.
Well, the Cavs play in the EC withMitchell will only be more efficient on a Cleveland team that has much better offensive talent.
Neither Mitchell nor Garland will hit their statistical highs they had to have because of the lack of a 2nd big time scorer----- now the pressure is off both guys and they will see more open looks than either has in their entire careers.
I would EASILY
EASIIIIIIIIIIIIILY take the Cavs to wipe the floor with the Lakers right now.
I never viewed DM as a chucker, that was his role in Utah to score. I thought Miami would be a great fit for him and still believe that. Cleveland is a different situation...we will see.Because, he has a chucker that isn't passing?

Player option in '25-26.Mitchell is a free agent in a few years and i doubt he signs back

Agree with Mitchell > Sexton. But…is there a better piece the Cavs can bring back for the Sexton asset? Now add in Markkinan and their most recent lottery pick and 3 outright picks and 2 pick swaps? Your argument about this is what Cavs have to do to get a player of this caliber is sound and a strong point. I just think given the haul that they could have gotten:No.
He's definitely BETTER.
But, they obviously overpaid.
Me personally, I would rather have Mitchell on a max.
I just would not give that kinda money to Sexton.
If they didn't, they would lose him for nothing.
Again: Overpay.
I'm not being a dick here...
But, it's Cleveland.
Starts weren't lining up to go there when they had Lebron.
So, they have to do what they have to in order to land a guy of Mitchell's caliber....even if he isn't a Superstar.
yah we shall see.Mitchell is a free agent in a few years and i doubt he signs back
I get it but who is out there "to get". It was Murray (before ATL traded for him) and Mitchell. Who else is out there?Agree with Mitchell > Sexton. 1. Better player
2. Better fit (I think his game is redundant to Garland and what they want him to be)
Ditto and they play in the stacked EC.Agree with Mitchell > Sexton. But…is there a better piece the Cavs can bring back for the Sexton asset? Lauri did not blow me away in Cleveland.when you are a smaller market team like the Cavs- you have to shoot your shot.
They obviously did not want Sexton back at a large contract.
I wrote a few days ago how they needed a deal like this to consolidate the roster.
the best thing about this deal- is that usually when teams make deals like this- they have vets and are trying to win-now and just keep a window open a little longer
How many teams make a deal like this and can say 100% WITHOUT A DOUBT- that NEXT year they will even be better than this year?
Please put the baby down first.
I think they flip him to the Knicks in say 2 years when it doesn't pan out. That's a few years as i said. My guess is they get these 3 years and he leaves after for a big market
