What are Monk's options? Detroit? Orlando? SA who has a bunch of guards? Portland is interested in Lavine. And they also have Simons.

Not many teams have a lot of cap space this offseason. Not sa normal FA since teams spent a shit ton last summer. That's why I think he returns.
* see the Knicks.

Any team under the cap can use the Standard MLE to give him a 4 yr deal.

This is what that offer would look like vs. the Lakers.

Not exactly. Teams who use cap space can use the room exception after they have used up their cap space

Just because we are cool doesn't mean we can't disagree.

You say some dumb shit that's hard to pass by sometimes.

So do I.

Its not personal

:suds:
It took me almost a year but I don't even argue with the wife anymore.

We go back 12-13 years? Would have thought I had stopped arguing/debating you.....LOL.

Dude this is fun.

We are almost out of basketball.

What will we have left if we don't debate silly shit that Hasn't/Won't/Can't happen?

All of us are wrong sometimes, especially me.

It's just for shits and giggles.

Looking forward to free agency.....we need to get younger.

SEE IF WE CAN KEEP MONK, Nunn hopefully plays next season, and we have Reaves, Johnson, and Gabriel....maybe we unload RW and add some young guys to add depth.

And put AD in bubble wrap for the summer so he doesn't get hurt walking the Red Carpet in Hollywood.

Umm, no.

It says exactly what both of our points are.

He wants to stay with the Lakers, no buts about it.

But, money will be a factor along with comfort.

That's not " He and his agent already said he's staying with the Lakers due to loyalty ", which is the point you piggy backed on from DJ.

All anyone else here said was : He's expected to get more than that and If he gets offered a 4 yr deal, he should take it despite his desire to be a Laker.

Your bandwagon mate is the one betting people money that Monk is dumb enough to take a 1 yr deal from the Lakers no matter what anyone else offered

I didn't see where DJ said he and his agent already said he's staying. That definitely hasn't happened.

All that I've seen DJ say is that he said he'd be willing to take less to stay. Which he did. However, he didn't say how much less. Could be $1.00 for all we know. lol

Uh, you may want to go back and read a bit. People were not saying "He should take it despite his desire to stay a Laker". They said he would take it and borderline mocked Lakers fans for saying he might not based on his own words.

He's definitely not staying "no matter what anyone else offers". For one thing, we don't even know if the Lakers will offer him their TPMLE...they may have someone they think is better that they are thinking of offering it to. If they do offer it to him, I think there is a decent chance he stays if the best offer is $10 million or less.

But if it's more...I'd track him down and smack him myself if he turned it down. lol
