agree. 2 years, $40 mil might not be a bad way to go for both. But if it's 3 I'd take the QO if I was him, assuming he believes he'll be healthy.
problem with the 2 year deal is I just dont think tis worth it for the Cavs.......its almost a waste of the restricted rights.....

I hope they can get a 3 year deal done- but if not--- qualifying offer and flexibility is not a terrible way to go.

honestly- him taking the qualifying offer might be on the table at this point---

Id rather up the offer and see if he would take 3 years 45---- but I would be hesitant 3 years 60.....

maybe 3 years 50.....I wonder if that would get it done........

if not- let him play his 1 year on the QO......and then we have cap room in the offseason

3 yr/45 is a slap in the face

Cavs have had some pretty good point guards over the years since I started watching....not that I remember much of Price....Andre Miller was a lot of fun. Kyrie obviously....now Garland....pretty good point guard legacy.
You'd have loved Price I think. Those teams were just great to watch. Unselfish group and could all shoot well for their positions. Man would he have been great to watch with Lebron. Even better if they were both in their primes with the 3 like it is now.

That's kind of a waste, too, as no matter what we pay him this year we are way over the cap so may as well give him $20 mil even if it means we have him another season. Not like we couldn't get out of it if he didn't fit if a FA was willing to come in a sign and trade and would have his Bird rights to keep him if he plays like he did in 2021 or even improves (numbers wont be better with better teammates, but he could be better).

He gave you the work?
Lol he let me shoot a 3 once and it went in somehow. That’s my claim to fame. Dude was something else, I was in the gym the night he dropped 56 against Loyola Marymount.

Yeah, I remember hearing about Papa Price being a really good HS coach.
He actually won more games in small college ball. Price family is basketball royalty in Oklahoma.
