Did y'all see this? 1 armed hoopster.
Has committed to Northwestern State.
Lot of versatility with the guards you have.I would much rather have that lack of defensive combo coming off the bench than vs mainly starters. Bickerstaff will still mix up the lineups
Cardinal Sin.......lying about sports.
It's 3 years, right? I could see him taking QO over that.He has no market. No teams can afford him or trade for him. He could bet on himself with QO
On the podcast, Fedor said it sounds like a 3 year offer maybe a player option for 3rd year. So $13M/year or soIt's 3 years, right? I could see him taking QO over that.
agree. 2 years, $40 mil might not be a bad way to go for both. But if it's 3 I'd take the QO if I was him, assuming he believes he'll be healthy.Yeah.
I have a hard time believing he wouldn’t get better offers next summer assuming he shows he is the same player he was 2 years ago.
No doubt not the best fit, but team was playing well early last season. Mobley and allen help a lot. And that was without Levert and Agbaji.I don’t know.
Don’t love the fit with those 2. Especially defensively.
But CJ/Lillard did not have Allen and Mobley.A worse version of dame and mccollum. And we saw what that did for them
But, CJ and Lilliard was better so there's that. But CJ/Lillard did not have Allen and Mobley.
It's so hard to say. Not sure I'd bet against Sexton if he was told he needs to win the job...... and team looked good in the short time he played last year. You think Sexton comes off the bench?
I have long believed that could be his ideal role. Instant offense 25 minute a game type.
Would be a 6th man of the year contender if so.
I think sexton is much better than Clarkson and young enough to improve.Kind of like Clarkson.
I think if told he can try to win the job he'd win it.....but you could be right and he'd be better suited as 6th man. Either way, guessing he plays down the stretch when needed.Yeah I do. I actually heard LaVert is penciled in the starting 2. Sexton may get more minutes but the 6th man role is probably his best role for this team
Dame is better than Garland. Not sure how much better CJ is than Sexton. And Sexton young enough to improve (as is Garland)But, CJ and Lilliard was better so there's that.
When was his last healthy season.....his rookie season when he played all 82 games?Dame is better than Garland. Not sure how much better CJ is than Sexton. And Sexton young enough to improve (as is Garland)
In his last healthy season, only Kyrie, Curry, Kawhi, Lavine and Jokic put up the numbers sexton did in ppg, apg, FG% and 3 point%

However, though an even smaller sample size, the lineup of Garland, Levert, LM, Mobley and Allen looked really good in the play in game.

He's pretty much been healthy every season but the last one. Played in all 82 as a rookie. 65 (out of 66, I believe) in year 2. 60 of 72 in year 3 (the one I was referring to). Likely plays more games that year if in contention. When was his last healthy season.....his rookie season when he played all 82 games?
Never know, but he's never come across as a guy who would not do what is asked of him. Now if he was coming off the bench AND not playing in crunch time......?It is tough.
Have to buy into a role.
But, I can tell you that many coaches believe in having a high end scorer coming off the bench. Even when that guy might be your 2nd or 3rd option in your best lineup.
I think it makes a lot of sense here given the fit with Garland.
But it only works if Sexton buys in. And that is a tough sell to a young player working for his first big contract with multiple 20 PPG seasons under his belt.
