I don't know about that. Give me a healthy Lebron and AD with Hield and Turner and I'd take my chances with that group minus the Warriors if we get something closer to real Klay...which I think we'll see. Lebron with pieces that actually fit tends to be tough to beat.

I'm not buying the Suns as real contenders and the Clips have to have a healthy PG and Kawhi which has been seen less than Bigfoot.

I don't think they get out of the West with that trade unless they get a fair amount of luck along the way. But you can say that about most of the better teams in the West.
Yep.

Healthy? The Lakers will be tough to beat. I have a feeling AD is going to come back and play like a man possessed.

If they did that trade and AD stays healthy and plays like he did in the bubble and Lebron stays healthy and plays like Lebron...they can get to the 3-4 seed.

An engaged Kyrie makes them real contenders.
The Lakers?

So, that roster with no depth is better than the Clippers or Memphis?

Shit, if it's #3 they'd be better than both?

If Kawhi doesn't play a single game next year, Morris/RoCo/Batum will slot in and that alone keeps them ahead of the Lakers.

Add in the fact that they have 5 guys that shoot a higher percentage from 3 than the best guy currently on your roster and that just isn't very likely.

You'd need Kyrie and Buddy to offset your anemic shooters.

The Lakers need perfect health to be contenders.

I don't see Lebron and AD both staying healthy enough to put them in the top 4

Yep lebron older and gets injured more frequently in addition to scheduled rest days. As for AD a good year for him is 65 or so games which means he missed 17 games. Unless they get Kyrie, i think they end up as a 5 or 6

I think that Westbrook being Westbrook will refuse to play defense even though he mouths the words and then will widen the rift between himself and James. The team will then go into full fail like last year and they will finish in the same cellar position like last year!

That is the glass half empty take and very plausible.

Yea, because I watched Westbrook last year for over three-quarters of the season and he believes that all this team talk is bullshit and doesn't apply to him. He is sort of like Irving. He does what he wants and then tries to CYA when it all goes south. He's a cancer. Period, bottom line.

Take Kawhi of the Clippers.

The Lakers still lose because LeBron has to sit down at some point.

I like Turner.

There is some duplication of skills with the Centers you just signed.

So, one needs to go...imo

Buddy can light it up....

....when he's on.

When he isn't, he is useless because he's a worse defender than Westbrook.

In a perfect world, with their guys being mostly healthy...

What are they?

Once again, they over corrected to the extreme.

They went from mostly old scorers that couldn't guard a trash bin, to mostly young defenders who can't shoot.

LeBron played BALLS OUT last year and they couldn't even sniff .500.

An engaged Davis is one hell of a weapon.

But, enough to lap teams to finish top 4?

I don't see it.

But, Kyrie would give them a punchers chance.

Davis and Turner would occupy most of the same space and Buddy is basically the new Wayne Ellington.

In the playoffs with a healthy Lebron and pieces that fit. I'll take my chances against that group you mentioned.
