The thing is people think Kyrie can’t force his way to LA…ohh he absolutely can.

Why?
Well bc he is cuckoo, it wouldn’t be crazy he would sit out the season bc he doesn’t want to play for that team so nobody wants to give up assets for him.
Keep Kyrie on the roster is something BKN does not want. They want him off asap bc of the drama and locker room issues. They can’t just keep him bc they don’t like deals. That would look even worse on the organization then they already look.

The power of the players is at an all-time high.

Also, nothing wrong with them being a little petty and making Kyrie and the Lakers wait until they deal with KD first. It's not like the Lakers are going to be fielding better offers for Westbrook. lol

I don't think he was over the moon over playing with Ben either.

Kyrie is the biggest factor in it all going to shit. That can’t be argued. Earlier I was pushing back on the idea that keeping Kyrie could also keep KD. It’s too far gone at this point to change the course. Nets super team is dead.

It’s not even that. The only time the Lakers made noise in the LeBron AD era they needed a once in a lifetime 5 month Covid pause and resumption for their key pieces to be healthy enough to compete. I’ll be the house on a 1-15 play that a shut down and resumption 5 months later is not happening. I’m always here for you guys if you want to just give me money.

No doubt was concerned after that year. Unlike sexton the previous season, Garland showed no signs of improvement as the year went on.
