I just started Castle on Hulu. I’m enjoying it.
I am rewatching Season 3 of Westworld before I jump into the new season. Pretty good. Trippy.

Just bummed Talulah Riley as a sex robot is no longer in the story.

Cavs just gave Garland 5 years 193 ....got him locked up through a lot of good years...he will still only be about 28 when this contract is done....crazy to think about.

Not crazy at all. Every player who get an extension after their rookie contract is still in their late 20s when the contract is done

not too many guys that have gotten almost 200 million when they are 22 years old.....shit....Steph had to wait until he was like 26-27 to get his first big deal if I am correct.

Different NBA now than it was at that time. This is the new norm.

If you are a star/superstar before the end of your rookie contract, you will get a huge contract approaching 200 M

Not players that stayed in college. Butler was 30, I believe, when his second contract ended but it’s really just math. The younger you come into the league, the younger you finish your extension. Not crazy

good article on Rubio and the Cavs on the Athletic....a couple excerpts:

Rubio brought a veteran presence and calmness to the second unit and helped All-Star Darius Garland come into his own as the team’s lead point guard. Rubio was a consistent threat on the floor, using his passing ability and quickness and serving as a floor general to facilitate the offense. The Cavs also used Rubio and Garland together in certain lineups, allowing Rubio to facilitate and Garland to find his shots off the ball. Opposing defenses had to make tough decisions on which player to guard, and had to be especially worried about Rubio in the pick-and-roll.

“With Ricky at the helm of that second unit, it was almost like we had two different lineups,” president of basketball operations Koby Altman said during his end-of-season news conference in April. “We’d have your defensive lineup that would slow things down and beat you up on the glass and get you taking tough shots. And then Ricky would come in with Kevin, and we’d run the score up, and we had a wholly different dynamic.”

What's happening with Levert and Sexton?

Between Tennis, Thor Movie, UFC...

I haven't been paying attention to free agency the last 2 days.

No shit.

Contract dollar values increase every single year.

And they will continue to do so.

In 10 -15 years players going to be signing for $500 Million

If it moves fast Celtics have a Giant tpe that can help facilitate lol
In a normal setting, the Celtics taking on salary could be a help but the Nets situation isn’t normal. Instincts say, start a rebuild but that would involve tanking for most teams. That can’t happen for the Nets because they’d be tanking for the Rockets. I think they’re going to look to fill spots and get player value already realized out of what KD brings back in addition to a slew of picks and swaps they can use for assets in trades, not for long term investment in a player.

I bet GOATum works on his game 24/7 this off season. He's gonna show up next season determined to correct his Finals mistakes.

I can see him averaging at least 35 points. To go along with 10+ reb's & 7+ asts. He'll lead the league in steals and be the first player to have a 55/45/90 season.

Disclaimer. Did you know when you put some caviar in a joint it really fucks ya up?
That shit too rich for my blood. Smoking some Gorilla Glue and some Monster Cookie this holiday weekend
