Kyrie wants a trade. He's looking to get back together with LeBron.

Think the Nets will take on Westbrook's $47.5M contract to give the Lakers a break?

They don't want to, but the market for Kyrie was already going to be a short list and with Kyrie actively trying to force himself to the Lakers, it looks to have basically whittled down the list to just the Lakers.

So for the Nets, it's about how petty/prideful they want to be. If they decide to just go ahead and deal with the Lakers, they will at least get 2 future firsts, maybe THT or someone if they want them and cap space. Because Kyrie makes less than Westbrook, they can also make the Lakers take on a contract that the Nets may want to unload.

They can also buy Kyrie out or just decide to pay him to stay home. But in those cases, they lose him for nothing. They could also make everyone wait until the deadline. Maybe somewhere along the way, some team decides to take flier on Kyrie and beat the Lakers offer or the Lakers can maybe find a 3rd to team to loop in (maybe someone looking for cap space for Westbrook) to get the Nets a little better deal.

Almost certain that they will make Kyrie and the Lakers wait until they deal with KD. The more they get for him, the less sending Kyrie to the Lakers will sting.

DDV is gonna be a fan favorite in Dub Nation.
Pretty nice under the radar get.
Also stoked that Looney is staying put.

Can't wait til the new season begins....only about 101 days away.

In other GS news....I hated to see GPII go...but it was damn near inevitable...same for Otto Porter.
Hope they do well except when the Blazers & Raptors play the Warriors or Knicks.

Have a good & safe 4th, everyone.

And I bet RW never plays for them if it happens.....buy him out.

Not sure why the Nets would want to move Harris, but that seems to be the name most include if they have the Nets moving more than just Kyrie. So maybe. It would be good for the Lakers.

Good for the Lakers? It would be like the Jews wandering the desert and then God sends manna from Heaven for them to eat so they don’t starve.

Depends. If they get the 2 All Stars they are reportedly wanting for KD, they will almost certainly buy Westbrook out (assuming they end up taking him) or just tell him to stay home.

If they end up in a rebuild, he's a name that fans will show up to watch for a season.

You see Charlotte is allegedly making Bridges unrestricted?

Lets see if either LA team is disgusting enough to sign him so he can be " close to the court " to fight the charges.

What a fucking idiot, if guilty, and it definitely looks like he is.

Someone will bite. But he's cost himself over a 100 million dollars.

The only way Westbrook wouldn’t be bought out is if they center in on KD to Miami and in order to pull out Bam they send Simmons out in a three team deal or separate deal. Marks career rides on the Simmons asset becoming something. Putting Westbrook on the floor with Ben would harm his progress.

I have a wife, 3 daughters and a sister...I don't want that piece of shit anywhere near the Lakers. Going to the Clippers would be too close because it's the same building.

You can't use that deal to set a bar imo. The Wolves got blown out in that trade.
Too late. Doesn’t work that way. Market has been set. It’s why the contract to 3rd WR Christian Kirk blew up the NFL WR market. All it takes is one over pay. KD trade may not have more than 4 firsts but it will definitely have that many.

Forgot about Ben. Yeah, Westbrook and Ben would be.....not good.

......and when they do, I don't want to hear that fanbase say shit about Watson, Ray Rice etc ever again......if guilty.

There has to be a line.

He allegedly broke shit on this woman, in multiple places.

I keep saying if guilty, only because of cases like Richaun Holmes.

He was actually innocent.
