Kyrie wants a trade. He's looking to get back together with LeBron.

Think the Nets will take on Westbrook's $47.5M contract to give the Lakers a break?
The Lakers are the only team interested in Irving.

It will take more assets (either draft picks, taking on additional salary, or both)

Are we not counting RWIII? (a late 1st round Ainge pick).

Ainge also drafted Grant Williams and Payton Pritchard late in the 1st... two decent picks that have contributed.

Stand corrected on RW3.

But do you honestly feel with all those picks he landed the kind of impact guy that...was it like 5 or 6 first rounders would have got him?

We are talking KD territory

Doesn't matter where he wants to go. He's signed for four more years and the Nets will do what's best for them. If the Pacers offer the best players remaining and seven first and second round picks between 2023 and 2030 and the Heat offer two firsts, think the Nets give a crap what KD 'wants'?

The latest rumor from Boston is Jalen Brown, Derrick White and Robert Williams and their next four first rounders. Celtics have seven open spots on their roster and this deal would make that nine. And they'd be about $70M over the Luxury Tax line.

I wouldn't do that deal if I was Boston.

KD can say, "I ain't going to Indiana."
Someday an owner will sue a player for breach of contract and win.

If KD says he ain't going to a certain team or any other team than the Suns or Heat then the Nets can keep him in Brooklyn. If he doesn't show up, they don't have to pay him and he can sit home and bitch all he wants. Eventually the tide has to go back out.

Yes it's the latter point that made no sense to me.

Trade up and get an impact guy. The only one that they drafted late first that became that they traded (Bane)

They traded two consecutive first round picks to dump salary

And they were small salaries, like 5m each for baynes and kanter

But I doubt they take bane when they took nes and Pritchard already

He landed Tatum and Brown with those picks... not KD, but pretty dang good.

He also sidestepped some land mines in those 2 drafts... many folks criticized him for not taking that horrid "consensus #1" point guard (Fultz) in the Tatum draft and Brown was considered a significant reach in his draft.

He will get traded and it could be other than Phoenix or Miami but Indy? No chance.

It'll be a team that is a contender.

Ohh it still does to an extent, they aren’t shipping him to a bad team but they will still look for the best offer among a team he would prefer, a contender.,

Something changed I think. No choose a winner thingy.....or maybe we gotta wait till it closes.....haven't done one of these in a while.
If it closes without money being exchanged we can do an avatar bet, @Stakesarehigh.....

Out of practice on those bets.....LOL.

No. They go to arbitration.

Like Simmons is

Lots of procedural errors there

The sixers unjustly withheld money owed to him before he was required to report, the nbpa has to fight over that

And the Simmons team seems to have screwed up procedurally on their paperwork

If the Nets wanted the best package?

SGA, Giddey and a ton of picks. But, KD will go to a contender.
