Very funny you asked. I had Mitchell typed out in my sleepers but then I thought he wasn't really a sleeper so I left him out. He is rising and won some post season awards. I don't usually LOVE OL but MAx Mitchell is a guy I LOVE.. Watched a lot of Louisiana this year when I knew Napier might be coming to Florida. Mitchell is great and Napier is great with OL. Just had 2 transfer to Florida... Keep advocating for Mitchell, Mingo. He will make you look smart. :)
I see Nate Solders body and movement when I watch him. Needs to bulk up some.

Yes, he needs to add muscle/strength. Little lanky but great technique, quick feet. Never see him get blown up. Once he adds some bulk he can start in the league might be best for him to come in as a rookie and bulk up a bit but he is capable of playing in the NFL for a very long time. Really liked him, O'Cyrus Torrence and Kamryn Waites on the OL when watching Louisiana. Didn't see to matter who was running the ball at Lousiana with these 3 guys blocking. Montrell Johnson, Chris Smith or Emani Bailey.. They all had success behind a very impressive OL.

Like a modern day Matt Lepsis. Now, if he promises to not roll up on Javonte’s legs he may be worth a draft pick. :L

Random thought. We won't suck enough next year to even sniff this (on paper anyway) ;)

Next year's draft class will have Ohio State QB CJ Stroud and Alabama QB Bryce Young (both likely will declare).. Caleb Williams who is about to transfer to USC isn't eligible to declare... But next year's top of the draft class at QB could be really good. Is it even worth taking a QB at 9 this year if we don't get one of the top vets? I feel like this staff aint tanking so even with any stop gap QB we probably won't touch any of those two but my point is if we don't get a QB this year and we get another cruddy one there is hope next year.... But that hope means we need to really suck next year and I don't think we expect that to happen.

I thought you trusted in Paton?

I fully trust in Paton. That doesn't mean I think he can wave his magic wand and have a great QB show up on his front door. Sometimes the resources just aren't there for a guy. This really has nothing to do with Paton I am just referring to if we don't find that QB this year there are more intriguing QB's in next years class compared to this year. Unlikely to be in a situation next year where we pick high enough for those guys, imo.

Caleb Williams is transferring to USC today... He will be one of those franchise changing QB's....

The QB position is getting better in the NFL..

We no longer have just "Mahomes" as the upcoming young QB... The NFL is going to change a bit in terms of "top teams"... See if Lawrence can get the Jaguars out of misery in the next few years.

I hope the Raiders don't suck bad enough to get Caleb Williams in two years. ;)

I think this is great for the NFL though. We have the elite QB's mostly retiring between now and the next few years and a passing of the torch... At one time it felt like Mahomes was the only young elite QB emerging, we now have Herbert, Burrow, Lawrence (still has to prove it but it is expected to happen), Josh Alllen and guys like Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams possibly coming next. Of these 3 I think Caleb Williams is the one to place your bet on as a "sure bet" elite NFL QB down the line.

The bad news for us is we don't have one of these guys yet and probably not in position to get one of them. (The young guys) maybe a vet.

The good news is the Chiefs are not going to be the only team to have a good elite QB for the next 12 plus seasons.

Maybe if next year is great for QB’s and we don’t get a big name this year we can trade back a few times in the draft and pick up some extra ammo for next years draft in order to move up and land a franchise guy.

I can think of worse then Garap... You have been hanging out with 9er fans too much. (For the record I don't think he is great but he isn't awful) Not my ideal pick but I can think of far worse.

He’s in the bottom quadrant of starting qb’s. He plays on a pretty good team.He should not be on our radar, I would rather roll with Lock. If we give up any capital for him, that’s an L for us

He's probably on McDaniels' radar though... Wonder how long before Carr gets traded to the Redskins or something like that...

I am honestly mixed on Garap.... I think he could work here in an "ok' fashion if we had to. In other words better then Joe Flacco/Teddy Bridgewater but not our long term guy... 49ers are an ok team. I don't exactly think they are just a QB away from being great but they played very well down the stretch this year. If he was the best we could do I would think it would surely be an open competition for him and Lock. I'm not loving it by any means but I am just saying I don't think Garap "SUCKS"....

Guessing never since the Redskins no longer exist. ;)

Speaking of which. Washington gets a new team name tomorrow.

@WalkerBoh I actually had the same thought this morning about Carr. I could see him ending up in Washington.
