With the roster we have, 3 A's..... Saw an article that said Tortellini gave the lineup card to Laughton to read before game #1. If you're all-in that it will take a total team effort, every game, you don't put a "C" on someone expecting that "C" to carry the team at any point during a game or season.
I agree which three do you think deserve the A ?

Laughton for sure, Coots and I’d give the 3rd to a Dman. Torn between provy and sandheim - I’d lean toward sanheim, especially after the deal he signed.

I agree with Laughton for sure. Couts for his longevity and Hayes for pure leadership would be my three.

Can’t argue against Hayes. He could be “the guy” to show leadership.

Two very controversial games coming up. If we get dominated in both we'll know the truth of this teams caliber, if we're competitive that's good for on the ice, but it's bad if we end up middle of the pack. I guess I wish I knew what this team was doing? Make it easier to root for a tank job, but if we're not going to do that then WTF are we doing? I mean how deep is this up coming draft? I'm getting to old for this shit!

You know we are going to put ourselves right back to the middle of the pack and get screwed out of a top draft choice.

That's what I'm thinking, it doesn't make sense to hire all the non talent they did in the off season just to land middle of the pack. Only way I could see them doing this is if Comcast is pressuring them just to be competitive enough to fill seats. If that's a reality, then that would be just sad.

The 2021-22 season was dismal. "There was a crazy amount of adversity we faced," general manager Chuck Fletcher said. "And we didn't handle it well, to put it mildly."

Added veteran Cam Atkinson: "There were things that went on last year that I didn't appreciate. ... It was a bit of a country club feel."

Way to go Cap :tsk:

This is just my opinion. This year and next move from one of the worst teams in the league to the middle of the pack . Then we get some cap space sign a couple of good players and make the playoffs in year three. In year four our young good players are now seasoned and add a few free agents and a trade and we are making a deep run in year 4 of Torts regime.

That would be great, hope you're right.
