Hodgson waived today. Happy to see that honestly. Most of the stuff I've read said Lappy was his biggest supporter, but that Fletcher also liked him. Might as well be the kiss of death to me. Torts saw otherwise, played him like 5 minutes last night and sent him down. Glad Lappy's word only went so far, I think he's a terrible coach.
Clearly not worth keeping a guy when he is fully healthy and plays less than 5 minutes in a game. We need all hands on deck, not some dude who is going to sit on the bench for 93% of the game.

What we really need is Sean Couturier back at 100%. He is the straw that stirs the drink with this team. We're not doing anything significant without him. Top line center, basically a point per game guy at his best, wins a high percentage of faceoffs and Selke Trophy winner. The guy basically plays in every situation of the game. He's a horse and I think we forget that a bit because he hasn't been truly healthy in forever.

Truly embarrassing performance by PSU today. I am shocked, but I'm also done with Sean Clifford. He went only 7 for 19 with 120 yards. Sure, he's tough, competitive and experienced, but he's just plain not good enough against top level competition. I would start Allar for the rest of the season.

Hopefully the Phillies close out the Braves here and our Flyers fair better shortly too. I'm not a baseball fan by any stretch, but I do like to see our Philadelphia squads win.

PSU gave a good 3 qtr effort. Mich has a deep talent pool. OSU/UM should be a good game.

Hart not off to good start :-(

Their offensive and defensive lines completely dominated us. Otherwise, it wasn't bad...Lol It's just completely embarrassing to give up over 400 yards rushing though.

Frustrating here for our Flyers too, but in a different way. I think we dominated that first period, but fail to capitalize offensively over and over, make two mistakes and we're down 0-2. Hart wants both of those back, but the guy was left completely uncovered on the second goal against. Just terrible.

Two periods down and one to go, but I love how this team scratches and claws it's way back. DeAngelo with a PP goal that finds the top corner and Laughton with another gorgeous shorthanded goal after Konecny delivers him an incredible pass off the boards. Somehow we've erased the 0-2 deficit and it's all tied up entering the final stanza.

It will honestly be pretty impressive if we can pull this one out and get the two points.

What sorcery is this????
I mean...we started last season 4-1-1, held firm at 8-4-2 and then it was an absolute clusterfuck for the whole rest of the season...Lol

This road trip at TB, FLA and Nash should be a massive challenge.

Surely Konecny can't do this every single game. Some other guys are going to have to chip in timely goals. Would be great to get Atkinson back for the next one.

Our PP2 right now is literally four Phantoms from last season and Scott Laughton if I'm not mistaken...Lol

Like I said sometimes young guys with piss and vinegar are better than the lazy ass vets. This team works hard and it's paying off. Nucks actually looked pretty good but next few will tell us more. either way great start!

Two and Ohh. Not a bad start. But we shall see how it holds up. The Phillies are headed to the NLCS against San Dego. Man this unbelievable. PSU got manhandled pure and simple. Onward we go.

I hope I'm wrong, but these next two games against high level competition on the road feel like ones that we will play hard in but ultimately lose because we simply don't have enough firepower offensively.

It's time to get Hayes, Farabee and JvR in the goal scoring column. Hopefully someone else can chip in too, like Noah Cates or Sanheim.

Prov and TK look like monsters so far.

JVR 3 assists already please keep it going an increase that trade value.:pray::pray:

Hayes and DeAngelo look very good.

Deslauriers kicked the crap out of Burroughs. KO for the momentum change.

Hart comes back to life after a very shaky start.

Game 1 attendance 98% full capacity
Game 2 attendance 76% full capacity up against the Phillies game right across the street.

6 teams in the NHL have no captain.

Do we need one? Would we be better of with 3 A's instead of 1 C?

With the roster we have, 3 A's..... Saw an article that said Tortellini gave the lineup card to Laughton to read before game #1. If you're all-in that it will take a total team effort, every game, you don't put a "C" on someone expecting that "C" to carry the team at any point during a game or season.
