Officials under fire so far this spring. Not sure how that one only gets a 2 minute penalty other than he got up on his own and I think I saw that he even came back in the game. So that shows they're punishing 100% based on outcome.

Comes out last night that he fractured his neck. So maybe they should consider punishing the process (clear check from behind to send a guy head first into the boards). Also have to assume the NHLPA is going to want an investigation in to how a guy with a fractured vertebrae gets cleared to return to the ice. Some questionable medical decisions there.

IMHO Hockey is the ultimate team sport. All 20, every game (except maybe back up goalie) contribute meaningfully every game.

Coaching is hugely important, but you hear it all the time “everyone needs to buy in”.

When Hakstol was coaching our team this board blamed him for us being crappy as well as Berube was blamed instead of our crappy players.

Boston set the Nhl record for wins and points in a season, lost only 7 home games the entire year and now they've lost 3 of them in the playoffs on the way to a 1st round departure.

The defending Cup Champions also lost game 7 on home ice...to a brand new team that has never done any of this shit before. And by shit, I mean qualify to make the playoffs, win a game, win a round etc.

To a lesser extent (yeah, believe it or not), the Leafs won a playoff round for the first time in nearly 20 years and eliminated the powerhouse Lightning in the process.

I would've been stunned to hear that ONE of these things had happened, let alone all THREE of them.

I mean, that Stanley Cup is completely up for grabs right now...

I saw that the President's Trophy winner has only made it to the conference finals ONCE in the last TEN seasons.

Quite frankly, we were right there with Florida in the standings for a good portion of the season. I would argue that we would've made the playoffs ahead of them had we been even remotely healthy.
