Funny part is, the guys that we didn't or don't need have played the best this year!Deslauriers beat the crap out of two Sens in one shift. That was awesome!

I think if Torts had a reasonably healthy squad this year, we would've made the playoffs and he would be in the running for coach of the year. Even still, we're 10 points better than last season with 8 games left to play. That's without an entire top line and top defenseman for most of it. The win and point total should probably be higher too, except we're a ridiculous 1-12 in overtime this season. I mean, we could've just played defense for the whole OT and won more of those games in the shootout. Nobody in their right mind would say we didn't have more talent last season either. We had a lot more talent, but it was an uncompetitive, losing culture. I believe that it has already changed quite a bit in just this one season. The torts way is paying dividends late in the season. He may be the guy who single-handedly either directly or indirectly changed the culture of the Flyers for the future and for the better. His message has resonated well with the youngsters and Hart is playing with a sort of unrealized developmental destiny that def lead to a very good NHL net-minder. Since they got rid of WTFC and inserted Briere, the Flyers are continuing on the path that Torts instilled from the beginning. I am beginning to believe the future may be what we all have wanted for a very long time since Hextall single-handedly destroyed this team from its days of greatness.
"I just want to be a part of this rebuild from the ground up," Couturier said. "I just don't want to be the guy that's coming when everything's nice and things are going well. I want to go through the ups and downs and grow as a team and be a part of that."
"I think that's where you build character, you grow as a team. Sometimes adversity is good. It's been a while. I've had adversity off the ice, but on the ice, it's another thing. It's probably what I miss the most. I think it's just important to all grow as a team together. I just want to be a part of it."
-Sean Couturier"I would have just loved to get the opportunity to prove myself. It's been a long ride, a lot of ups and downs. Thought I'm feeling really good and finally over the hump. I just wished I could have gotten the opportunity to just prove myself and help the team."
What a dirt bag if he is in fact the one who did it.Not sure if you guys remember me posting about the double homicide in my town, here is the perp. You have to remember there's only nine hundred people in my town.

Man it would be so nice to get to 5th or 6th slot then our odds jump at least 10% to get Will Smith or Zach Benson.Looks like it's going to be hard to get below Arizona/Montreal, so lets just not get ahead of Vancouver!
So funny i tried to attach a story on trading options for Hayes and the story comes up blank on SportsHoopla:
Any way it said over the summer there are several places that may accept a trade for Hayes. The following teams were on the list:
Boston
Carolina
Columbus
Colorado
Dallas.
I figured any of the 4 teams on that list not named Columbus, would have tried to land him before this years playoffs. He'd be a great depth guy on any of them.Flyers Offseason Trade Candidates: Kevin Hayes - The Hockey Writers Philadelphia Flyers Latest News, Analysis & More
