With his ties to the medical field maybe our players can stay healthy for a change.

Hilferty, a 1978 graduate of Saint Joseph's, has held leadership roles with Independence Blue Cross, AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies and Mercy Health Corporation. Last summer, Philadelphia was named a host city for the 2026 World FIFA World Cup, a bid that was led by Hilferty.

"I've enjoyed partnering with Dave since I joined Comcast Spectacor last month and I’m energized about the opportunity to further advance the company," Hilferty said in a statement released by the Flyers. "Our number one goal for the Flyers will be to consistently compete for the Stanley Cup. It is going to be a process that will take time to get on that path, but I’m confident we are headed in the right direction with Danny Briere as interim GM, Coach Tortorella, and our hiring of a president of hockey operations soon. Our leadership team will be fully focused to deliver on this for our fans while also continuing to make the sports complex the best location for sports and entertainment in the nation."

With Montreal winning 2 in a row and now 2 points behind us it would be nice if we could play well and lose in regulation tonight. Please just lose like 5-4 after 60 minutes. :hope::hope::hope:

5 wins in 6 games, points in every single game, the best stretch of the entire season...Lol This is without essentially our entire top line and $20 million worth of players altogether.

Now Morgan Frost has officially come to life too with two goals against Montreal.

I'd really like to see what this team can do next season, assuming we are closer to 100% healthy.

Playing god and losing is one thing. Playing well and winning will not be tolerated.
If only they played well. It was like a pond hockey game out there and was the most boring game of the year until the last few minutes. At least if they are going to bore the fans lose the damn game!

4 point swing ughhhh!!! That game might've just sealed our fate out of a top 5 draft pick.
I can only assume that Torts has the upper management believing some of these kids are more talented than they first appeared, therefore they feel just a top 10 pick will suffice. Or they're going to put together a package deal and try to get it that way.

The plan in Philly seems to be never win a cup again or even be a contender.

Yet to be seen, I'm hoping some new blood and a new Outlook as to what they want to accomplish go hand and hand and we can finally find some growth of our younger players and try to couple it with some seasoned veterans, obviously better than what we have currently.

A win tonight for us would probably sink Ottawa's playoff chances and also really put us in danger of not even drafting in the top 10. We're going to pass Vancouver, Detroit and St. Louis in the standings if we keep winning and then there's another trio of teams we could pass after that. They're sinking and we, for some reason, are rising up.

Good lord, what a strange fucking game tonight!! It exploded in the 2nd with fights and misconducts all over the place. For whatever reason, the refs weren't calling anything, so the players took matters into their own hands and it got very physical. Ottawa led most of the game and extended their lead to 4-1 early in the 3rd, then we somehow scored goals by York, Cates and Tippett all in about 12 minutes of ice time to tie the game late.

Despite being outshot 11-46, we nearly won this thing in OT, but rang it off iron instead. Unfortunately right after that, Sandstrom got outnumbered playing the puck behind the net. He had Giroux in front of him and DeBrincat behind him. Well, he dished it right back to DeBrincat, who deposited the puck into the empty net. A tough break for Sandstrom, who stood on his head to get this game to OT.

Cam Talbot ends up getting the W for Ottawa with 7 saves on 11 shots against, a .636 save percentage. That's probably the worst numbers I've ever seen for a winning goalie...Lol

We're still not doing ourselves any favors in the draft with that comeback tonight. That's an extra point we had no business getting and yet somehow we got it. The win streak ends, but we've collected points in 7 straight games.
