You’re right. There’s only two teams. Only 4 guards get recognized. I think this should be expanded. Too many really good guys left off. And let’s be honest, how many of these media types are dialed into - individual defense, how they play in their team’s system, how guys perform against them, etc…. My point is there are likely to be wildly disparate votes which makes for more potential for mistakes. Let’s expand to three teams, make them positionless and expand to 6 per 1st, 2nd, 3rd team.

That’s fair. I have a hard time with it thinking about him jacking up shots, but not a factor I guess.

But that does make a difference for this award. It shouldn’t but it does. You have to be on the floor enough to make these teams and you need to have a positive offensive impact to get steady minutes. And the media types are more likely to use this award to put two way players on their ballot and they actually use offense to break ties as crazy as that sounds.

Logan O'Hoppe looks kinda like the real deal on the Angels.... I have to say

He’s blocked by the best catcher in baseball and they needed to fill a huge gap in CF. Marsh is hitting .381 so far with 10 RBIs out of the 9 hole. He’s not going to hit that all year but looks to be a solid player.
