I think the guy has been exceptional. It helps that the Bucks are on TV a bunch but I’ve seen them about 12-14 times this year and every time I see him, he’s playing his ass off at the end. He and Holiday allow them to have Giannis match up on the teams worst player and be the roamer.

I think @bksballer89 could back me up on this because we were discussing this a few weeks ago. Bam had a great start but hasn’t had the same finish this year.

All that being said, we’re talking a post where I’m lobbying for positionless spots. My 5 under those rules has Bam and Jrue along with the 3 mentioned.

Yeah, I know he has been good.

But I just love Bam’s skill set. He can guard anybody.

And to me, defensive versatility is a must when looking at top defenders.

I agree with that. I think Bam had a better argument last year and he ran into narrative because the media decided the conversation would be “why has this become a Big Man only award?” I think Lopez has been better for a better team. I have two Bucks on my first team defense. I’m leaving off some dudes. I think it’s one of those good problems though that we have so many difference making defenders we can talk about and one of the casuals favorite refrains is that nobody plays defense in the NBA.

What does your all defense teams look like? I’ll work on mine. But I have my front court sewn up.

Talk about an award team that should be positionless! No Bam No Draymond No Gobert and those guys have become traditional All D guys.

Just like I want All NBA to go to 6 players I would want all defense to be that number as well. Positionless is also ideal.

I respect that. I just can’t take Jrue Bridges White or Caruso off and put him in ahead of them. I like OG a lot too. And if I’m being honest, I’ll own that I really only saw the Thunder about 5 times this year plus some quarters of games.

That’s fair. I have a hard time with it thinking about him jacking up shots, but not a factor I guess.
