It never made any sense.

It would be one thing to land a Joker, even a Sengun.

They add value in multiple areas.

But, they gave away the farm for a one dimensional guy, on a longterm deal, who gets played off the floor in the playoffs.

He’s bigger, slower Clint Capela.

He’s rich man’s Zubac.

You don’t pay those kinds of guys 40 mil per.
I do think the wolves as healthy team had a better chance to keep Gobert out there than the Jazz ever did. The reason being they have some pretty damn good on ball defenders so they had a chance to protect the perimeter in a way so Gobert does not need to stray from the paint. I honestly believed we would see it in action up until McDaniels punched the wall. Reid injury also hurts it. So now we are going to see more of the same and my guess is they trade Anderson for pennies because they are desperate to make the worst trade in sports work out.

And the assets they gave up to get him.

If they gave him that as an FA, he's just a bad contract that you can eventually move to a team seeking cap space.

Instead, it's in the convo for worst trade ever AND a bad contract.

I think he would have sat large portions of the 4th quarter in favor of Reid.

This was a horrible trade.

Believe me, I understand.

Every time I watch SGA, and J Dub, cook fools, while George is sitting in street clothes, I understand….lol

But, you would have been better served with keeping Kessler.

He gave the Jazz what you got out of Rudy for 1/10th of the price.

Even worse?

Had McDaniels still gone down, you’d still have Vanderbilt.

For sure, maybe the TWolves sign him. He would do very well on the intramural boxing team they are building.
Uhhhh, Boogie is kinda husky.

Gobert would get slept….lol

Plus, you can look at guys and kinda tell their fighting styles.

Guys like Boogie, Pat Bev, Dillon Brooks….

You can tell they would resort to bitting.

And I think the biting only comes into play if they are frisked before the fight

I don't really think the issue is Kyrie....they just don't have anyone worth a shit around those two and the defense is bad. In previous years the defense was top 10. They have no true big men

Goberts reach would be a huge advantage.

Just jab them to death

The bigger issue is he brings his defender into the paint as well. A big part of KAT's offense is catching the ball much further out and driving to the paint etc. Fucking sucks when you got Gumby holding his defender in the way of what you're trying to do. Or even if he does get the hell out of the way his defender doesn't need to worry about him whatsoever once he is out of the paint.

It was a bad marriage from the start. KAT is a modern 5 and you added an old school 5 to pair with him.

Want to wager?

I’m feeling charitable.

I will take the Wolves if you give me 4 pts.
You mean 4 pts on top of the 8.5 line right?
