Did any of you go online and do any voting? I didn’t. I watch games. I don’t do that Fan Boi voting for All Star shit like my wife used to do voting for American Idol and shit.

I did.

I literally voted for anyone that never stood a chance in hell.

Gotta give them at least a little confidence boost, even if it did come from a random chick in Washington

Yes, you definitely should. Especially, the star part.

Ask yourself this...

If the ASG is about the best players...why do we need All NBA?
That is a interesting question, actually.

Allstar is like halfway point of the Season and ALL NBA is the entire Season without the parameters of conferences?

This is my definition of an Allstar.

all-star
/ˈôlˌstär/

adjective

  1. composed wholly of outstanding performers or players.
  2. an outstanding or highly regarded performer within a field

All star to me means one thing, you are having one of the better years of anyone at your position. There shouldn’t be any placeholders, one year deal put up or stay home.

That's how I see it too.

If the fans vote a player in, is he not highly regarded?

Would you consider the team rankings to play a factor too? Legitimate and sincere question.

Like if there was a player averaging 25ppg on a 35-15 team vs a player averaging 30ppg on a 19-31 team? Just random examples btw.

Who would you class as a 'deserving player'?

After the first 10-12 players, the remaining guys could literally be picked out of a group of 20. Someone was going to miss out regardless.

Exactly...it's like trying to make a team of all time great players. There's always going to be players that don't make it, that someone else thinks should have.

For starters yes but reserves no. You want to reward players on great teams but players on mediocre teams should be considered as well

Fair or not, I think they do that with the reserves.

They won’t flat out snub a guy with impeccable stats.

But, if it was close and one guy is on a team in 1st place and the other is middling under .500, they would reward the guy on the winning team.

The Starters?

Lakers are 13th in the West.

Lebron is every bit Mr. AllStar.

Same with SGA and Curry.

I would have been okay with either of them starting over Ja, even with Ja being SENSATIONAL.

Didn't they at one point honor former great players who were about to retire, like D.Wade and Dirk, not too long ago by offering them a spot?

And a player can be a star, but not necessarily be a great player.
*whispers Draymond *….lol

Despite his stats early on, he deserved to be a Allstar in the past.

Nubers don’t tell the whole story for guys like him, Ben Wallace etc.

Not now.

Sabonis, Davis, Lauri Mark gotta get a spot first…imo

Maybe. I don't remember if it was anything formal, might have been a coaches pick or something.
