I liked adding shooters in D-Lo and Beasley.....Vanderbilt was a nice add......

And we could flip Beasley and Vanderbilt in the offeseason, D-Lo in a sign and trade also.....if management decides to.
Beasley when on is awesome. He will try and shoot out of a cold streak though. I would not look to flip Vanderbilt, his value way exceeds his contract

So if the ball is over the cylinder and a defender blocks it, it’s not a goaltend?

Conley is a good shooter. Not that much worse than Russell at all.
He is getting up there though, and may not have as much trade interest after the season.

I would not hate the trade if Conely was also expiring. They crippled any chance at future flexibility for 3 2nds

The paint is already clogged and they got worse at shooting. Maybe veteran leadership will make a difference? I don't see it being making cap worse for next year though
were they going to have significant cap room to sign someone? if so-I can buy that argument. I am just surprised they would with Gobert and Towns deal and Edwards (has Edwards gotten the mini-max yet?- i feel its been long enough were he would have).

Conely is not the player he was. He is limited on minutes he can play and losing his productivity. The things he does that Russell can't are still strong though, smart play and leadership.

He will lose it even more next year.

little bit of a trap game for the Cavs with Garland and Mitchell sitting out- so good to see them dominate even a sorry team like the Pistons.

Last couple weeks I have seen some encouraging signs from the Cavs -starting to grow up a little bit. We shall see if it lasts. I hope it does.

It's not that bad, Conley isn't in his prime of course but he's still a solid floor general.....

I think Towns is your flexibility. I think both parties are ready to move on. Towns is some nice trade bait to hand things over to Ant, a Gobert centered defense and role players around it - Towns likely brings back a dude who can be a solid Robin to Ant’s Batman.

His loyalty won't let him
If they added a shooter like Beasley? Or a young stud like Vanderbilt?

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, he would already have their fatheads on his ceiling for target practice.
Vanderbilt and Beasley would likely not even be in the Cavs rotation- let alone be significant pieces---- maybe back end guys.

Good move for the Lakers since it takes guys out of the rotation for them that are really not reliable NBA players.
