Danny lost this trade

Bad

If you were gonna do this, do it on sept so you can get suck dick for Vic
I think they probably did try and make this deal--- but how much value does Mike Conley have on an expiring deal, and Beasley and Vanderbilt? I do not think Danny is going out of his way to help the Lakers--- quite the contrary. In the grand scheme of things what he traded away really did not have significant value on the market.

Lakers are 4 losses behind Clippers, Suns, and Mavs.

Suns and Clippers are finally healthy while the Mavs just acquired Kyrie.

I say this because finishing top 6 still going to be hard for them.

Adam Silver stepped in and told Danny he had to accept. Him fleecing the Wolves in the Gobert trade broke the trade market and this is the market correction

I was just thinking of two respected veteran NBA players. Its not easy to get a guy who is talented and demands respect- especially for a cheap cost.

They could prob. spend a ton of assets and get OG- and that would make them probably the most talented team in the West- or close to it- but does not really provide any leadership.
Does Rudy Gay have any locker room clout?

He just helped the lakers a ton

And you could get nothing with the protection

They would have to trade some of their young assets to get that guy we’re talking about.

Russell was real bad fit for a long time. This year he is shooting better than ever before and keeping his assists up. Multiple teams had interest. At the very worst they could have walked with cap space next year. Now we are locked in for at least 15 million less cap next year for an at best side grade and some second round picks.
I dont think the Twolves needed a great talent---- they have talent with Towns, Edwards and Gobert- they needed a grownup and leadership and a floor general that will put guys in the right spot.

Towns and Gob are still a bad fit.

To start with, the Bucks game is probably punted already. 3 players out so far, who knows when the new guys will be available.

Tomorrow starts a incredibly tough stretch for them as well. I think top 6 will be tough but they will be a tough out as a 7 or 8 seed.

Finishing 10th is gonna be hard for them. I don't see the 7 thru 9 teams dropping out (Dubs, Wolves, Pels). Utah is gonna tank. But OKC and the Blazers are probably still gonna go for it. Lakers just lost to OKC too.

When do I get my correction on Silver making the Sixers hire the Colangelo syndicate?
