5 games behind 3 seed Kings.

Just saying.

That's more the result of the weird way the season has played out than anything else. Teams ahead of them are going to continue to get healthy/hit their stride and that will make it much harder for them to catch up.

Sure but it is what is.....we have benefitted from it.

Rob hits a homerun with a trade and we're right back in contention.

Right.

Where we disagree is on how to do that.

Sign him today, trade him this summer if you don’t win a ring and want him gone.

This is not an unmovable contract. There are quite a few teams out there that are kind of stuck in purgatory unless they gamble on a player like Kyrie.
Yep.

We disagree on the how.

It needs to be a team like the Lakers.

Clippers players are too weakminded.

Luka too ball dominate.

Heat not having any of his shit.

Dubs don’t want or need him.

He can’t go to a team where he believes he’s the best player.

We saw how that show ends in Boston.

If’s and but’s.

Lakers aren’t the only team allowed to make improvements.

All the other seeds, 1-13 are looking to deal.

Denver, Memphis, Clippers, Mavs, Suns all trying to make home run moves.

Brunson and Luka worked, so Kyrie could work.....in theory.

But i agree it's not the ideal fit.

A lot of those teams don't have the same level of picks to offer.

Denver has one first available. Clippers as well IIRC.

Teh Lakers can turn one negative player into 2-3 better fits or Kyrie, that's a pretty big swing for them.

The Clippers, Denver and Memphis have quality role players and a pick.

Lakers have a bloated contract and 2 picks they may, or may not, trade.

I have not seen a single tweet that says the Nets are going to trade Kyrie.

If they did, it certainly won’t be a direct one with the Lakers.

There is zero chance Simmons and Westbrook will be on the same roster.

No doubt. The Lakers have gotten lucky in that the weird start has allowed them to drag their feet on a trade and make it through AD being out for 20 games without falling too far off the pace.

But look how much the Clippers improved getting Kawhi back and the Pels are about to get Zion. You also have to figure the Warriors will catch fire at some point. That's just 3 of the teams the Lakers are chasing.

The Lakers seem locked in on Kyrie and there seems to be momentum behind it. But Rob needs to have a backup plan that he can pivot to quickly if it starts to look like the Kyrie deal isn't going to happen.

There was momentum behind it in the summer too and we saw how quickly that fizzled out.

Yeah, and all 13 teams won't make homerun moves.

A handful will....

yeah, I expect it be likely LAL and Utah.

Maybe Brook gets their pick from Royce back and Utah gets the unprotected picks.

Kyrie to LAL.

To me that makes the most sense.

Brook still has a few picks to take a swing at another key piece this summer.
