Gallo isn't playing at all this season?
While fans of the Boston Celtics have not been seeing much of veteran forward Danilo Gallinari at Celtics games this season, Gallo has been working quietly in the background.

The swingman is sidelined for much if not all of the 2022-23 NBA season due to a torn ACL he sustained in FIBA World Cup qualifier play this summer while with the Italian national team.

I knew about that but thought he'd be back sometime this season.

Tore his acl in like august so I’d assume no. He might be back around may, but trying to reintegrate him during the offs would be tough

You said they half assed him.

Im asking what you are basing that on?

Why in GAWDS name would they offer him a guaranteed 4 years?

Why did they make the offer?

Because his agent asked them too…lol

He wants no stipulations…..ZERO.

Totally guaranteed…lmfao

1: they didn’t give him the full guarantee that he wanted.

2: Joe Tsai has made many negative comments about Kyrie in the public. Granted, all stemming from Kyrie’s bad behavior, but still. Not that different from the 6ers treatment of Simmons. You got a crazy person on your roster and you knew he was crazy when you signed him.

I am speculating (see what I did there) that Kyrie has felt unwanted by the Nets since last year. And he should feel that way because he is unwanted.

When a crazy person feels unwanted, they might go to extreme lengths to get out.

So you sign the deal today to appease him.

You try to win a title this season.

And instead of saying, “we will only guarantee the 4th year if we win a title”, you just trade his ass if you are ready to move on this summer.

Like I said, he will still have a market. And perhaps more interested parties if he is on a longer term deal.

RW is expiring.

We can't trade for him in the offseason.

Well, you could, just probably not by trading someone you want to trade for Kyrie.

There would be other teams. Like Dallas, LAC, Chicago. Point is, he would have a trade market.

You can’t tell that man how to spend his money.

Kyrie offended a ton of people.

He asked for an offer now, he got one.

He is free to seek employment elsewhere.

He can spend his money how he wants totally agree.

If his goal is to contend h the is season?

It was always with Kyrie and KD.

He did a deal with the devil 3 years ago and the chickens have come home to roost.

Nobody should feel bad for Joe Tsai here. He is no victim.

Sure.

But, I have not seen a single report saying anyone is willing to meet his salary or contract demands.

You know, just like the team he is currently playing for.

His agent actually put out a statement saying she hopes the team trading for him understands his contract demands.

Billionares don’t have to capitulate to self absorbed millionaires.

He will and the nets wont be heard of for another 10-20 yrs
They are done. Nobody wants to fuck with that franchise and in the end, it will be their own fault. Going after KD is one thing but going after Kyrie is another issue. It sucks bc if Kyrie acted a big more normal this likely all works out but like I said, putting trust in Kyrie is a desperate move

I don’t feel bad for Joe at all.

Just like I don’t feel bad for Kyrie.

Saying he should cave to a crazy, racist little shit because he’s a crazy little shit kinda sets a bad precedent.

He can contend with Kyrie and Kevin for the rest of the year and Kyrie can play ball in a sign and trade to get paid or he can cut off his nose to spite his face and take a pay cut.

I mean, do you see the Spurs or Rockets cutting him a max check this Summer?
