Twice? That dude is a 2 time MVP? We’re gonna put him up there with Wilt Bird Bill Russell as the only 3 in a row MVP guys?
Hard to compare when their style of play is completely different and the game has changed. Right now he is the best big man in the NBA

A good start would be to get more healthy so you can play more games. He isn't owed anything.

Denver is #1 in the west and Jokic is averaging a triple double and almost 2 steals a game.
Winning doesn’t matter as we saw the last two MVP races. Then again, maybe this year it will mean something. It important though that we move the goalposts each year.

Yep. The best big man in the NBA is the player that gets attacked by the offense in every playoff series he plays. It makes sense. If you’re the best in the game it just stands to reason that the opponent’s scouting report revolves around taking advantage of you.

Also, playing games doesn’t matter. He played a career high in games last season and lost the MVP vote by a greater total than he did the prior year. We are in the era of load management because of …wait for it…analytics…the same nonsense that makes it seem like the Fat Flat Top is the greatest player to have ever laced them up.

I think they need to do something, but if I’m in her shoes it’s not because Lebron says and it’s not just doing something to be doing something. Time for some real managing to be done, not sure they have the person for that.

It goes beyond this year; it's about building next year's roster too. If they don't add talent now, next year's cap space will go to re-signing Walker, Bryant and Reaves IF WE'RE LUCKY. With my luck, they'll decide to keep Russ for far more than they should and we'll lose one or more of those guys. It will be this year's roster (or worse) and filling in gaps with league min guys again. Gotta break that cycle or the Lakers will guarantee another slow start.

Burn the Buss house down.

That makes it even worse for the other bigs, average defensively and still the best big lol

A career high for Embiid isn't say much. That's like saying AD played a career high, what like 60 games. Makes a huge difference and boost to your numbers when you play less games.

I'd vote against him this year for that reason
Yeah 2 times happens but 3 is extremely difficult to achieve. Right now Tatum, Giannis and Embiid all are in the argument but I will say if Denver win a ton of games he could have a shot.

He’s not the best big. You can’t be the best any position if you’re a one way player.

Are Embiid’s numbers hollow or something? We just gave the MVP to a dude who led his team to a 6 seed and a gentleman’s sweep in the first round. His numbers last year were a product of somebody having to post numbers on a MASH unit. His season was the epitome of hollow. That’s what I’m talking about with moving goal posts.

This is all moot anyway. The King of the 2nd Team All NBA is never getting voted MVP.

He and Luka are white. They definitely have a shot.
