She’s gonna be there longer than LeBron and Russ. I agree
I think they need to do something, but if I’m in her shoes it’s not because Lebron says and it’s not just doing something to be doing something. Time for some real managing to be done, not sure they have the person for that.

I would kick the tires on shedding LeBron

I'm not sure what level of exhaustion Lebron was at either. What are the odds that Lebron would've run down the clock and launched a long jumper? It's not really the Lebron/Westbrook way, but calling a timeout to actually run a play would've been an interesting alternative lol.

Yeah, I'm more a fan of knowing what you're going to do and going right into the offense so the opponent can't set their defense.

But then, that tends to work better when you don't have someone deciding to just play hero ball. lol

I truly think it's less about the assets and more about not paying tax.

Disagree. The Lakers have always been willing to pay the tax for a contending team and Jeanie has always said that won't change.

Right now, they don't have a contending team and there doesn't appear to be a trade that will get them there.

Then they should move Lebron or AD. Or both. The middle is awful. I say that as a Pistons fan that lived in the middle from like 2008 to 2018

Agree.

The West is wide fricking open.

The Nugz are probably the best team and it took every bit of Joker being special to beat the Lakers, without Davis.

Davis has already proven he can put his boot all the way up Joker’s ass in the playoffs.

Well, in the bubble at least.

Still, they won’t do anything to improve.

So, it’s either Davis is more injured than they are letting on or they are pinching pennies.

Unless they know someone is taking a pay cut to sign, they will be in a similar pickle next year.

That cap space they will generate is John Collins money, not Beal, Durant, Lillard etc.

So, there isn’t some magical trade that will manifest to fix this, once Westbrook is off the books.

Lebron is not without blame here. But, its still shameful to have him waste this year.

I can already see how tonights going to go.

So, let me just congratulate you now.

My shift starts at 5:30 am.

Im not staying up for this shit.
Clippers have been getting shots. They just haven’t gone down. They don’t look as tough defensively as I’ve seen them in the past.

Cavs- 19-4 at home (best in the NBA) 9-13 on the road.

hallmark of a young team. Need to get better on the road.

If they were just 13-9 on the road they would have the best record in basketball.

Since the AD injury.....

Lakers are +89 with James on the court.......without him? -109.

Wow.

I truly think it's less about the assets and more about not paying tax.

Not trading those picks basically tells the fan base that she thinks the team might suck in 2027 and 2029.

That is not a Laker mentality.

Those picks do little for the future unless the team is in the lottery.

Pretty much. Which tells me she doesn't want to compete for FA with teams willing to spend well into the tax. I get she may have an affinity for Russ but I also think it's because his contract represents dollars under the cap whereas a move for long term deals almost certainly put them above it.

So again when your piece is Lebron not spending into the tax is an absurd approach. Either blow it up or spend into the tax.

Keeping Lebron but not doing so is not a good idea at all.
