In this specific case?

Yeah, it’s weird asf that the defending champs can’t win a road game.

The problem is clear, they just don't play defense especially on the road. Only played one quarter of D today, gave up 40 points in the 4th lol

But the weird part is why? It can't be all just not having Payton...

We were talking about the Dubs in particular.

His comment just broadened the discussion.

The initial post was about the weirdness of the Dubs road struggles.

And I am expanding further about why that isn’t so weird.

You hear the TNT guys talk about that kind of thing all the time.

OKC just running the ball down their throats.

Thunder are at the stage of their development where it’s just great for fans. You are going to get your moneys worth every single night out of them, whether at home or on the road. They are growing together and love playing with each other. To sum it up, basketball is first right now for this team, period. It’s a great thing to watch.

The last 30 games of the Season will be chaotic asf out West.

There is no separation between 6-9.

10,11,12 are within like a game and a half.

Well sure if there is a year to be like this, this season is it, with the West having 2-3 teams and a bunch of meh. Still could be like last year's Celtics and turn it on late...even a 5-6 seed and maybe they find that other gear for the playoffs.

Lots of story still to be written for all the teams including your Clips. Very few teams with zero path to relevance.

4 X Champs to be exact….

Had a 17-2 record at home at the beginning of January.

Yet, they we’re almost the complete antithesis on the road, at 3-16.

When has that happened before?

Ergo….weird.

Well sure if there is a year to be like this, this season is it, with the West having 2-3 teams and a bunch of meh. Still could be like last year's Celtics and turn it on late...even a 5-6 seed and maybe they find that other gear for the playoffs.

Lots of story still to be written for all the teams including your Clips. Very few teams with zero path to relevance.

Oh, for sure.

But, as currently constructed?

I think the Dubs will turn it around.

It doesn’t really matter where they are seeded.

They are proven, just need health.

Clippers, Suns, Dallas, Lakers better make a trade.

Giddey is starting to come on strong.

Dude has great vision.

Shai is just a 3 level scorer waiting to detonate.

Man, I wish Chet had this year with them.

But, I’m glad J Dub is getting to develop.

Future is looking incredible.

And to be fair, the 7th worst record in basketball has them in…

Is it just that they are missing Lonzo?

I expected them to be better, even without him.

Im sure all the other injuries and internal strife hasn’t helped.

We are in the 2nd half of the season now.

I mean Lonzo is part of their “big 3” and is quite good

But they are just not working

There’s also a lack of spacing playing dd and Vuc, plus Patrick Williams has not developed

Have you seen enough of the J Williams from Arkansas yet to have much of an opinion? I’m confident in one thing, the dude is going to be able to guard the 5 no matter who they are playing. Will be good to have when Chet gets it going.
