Giving up Maxey they would be all-in on Harden. Gonna have to get a nice return for any deal including Maxey.
It’s not that crazy. The Sixers window is now. That revolves around Embiid and Harden. I would only deal Maxey for a perfect piece. You could envision Maxey being the prize and Harris being the salary. I can’t really do a hypothetical but it would have to be a situation where they get like what Klay Thompson or PG13 used to be… a pre-eminent two way wing that can guard the other team’s best player while also being a knock down shooter at 39-40%. I don’t know that that guy is on the block to be honest. That’s the guy I would deal him for. It’s not available.
43 and 48 games played the last two years says im out on OG as the return for Maxey. I can’t justify a win now trade for a player that could be banged up for a considerable portion of the win now window.

I think he could be a great one. In fact, if Embiid Harden doesn’t get out of the 2nd round this year, (again) I’m full speed ahead on trade Embiid. Let Harden walk and build around Maxey with what you bring back for Embiid. Harden off the books in summer 2023. Harris off the books in summer 2024.

Yep. For me, not good enough. He doesn’t defend which makes the Embiid Harden fit less than. For me, Maxey is better as a third option three level scorer than Beal who is a first option three level scorer. Maxey may have more upside to develop as an average defender. Beal is already a defensively liability without much hope he’ll become better on that end.
Beal would be a disappointing return for Embiid imo
Yeah just saying if they were to explore, it's hard to do better than that fit wise. They should and will keep Maxey though imo.

Red Auerbach himself wouldn’t have been secure enough in his job to trade Embiid away.
