Cavs playing decent defense but only the starters. Lopez just gave them free points. So slow and awful defensively
Hopefully the Thunder wake up in the 3rd

It’s an epidemic

If that's a "load management" thing by them...then that's a load of crap.

The load management thing many teams are using nowadays is becoming an epidemic.
Even more so of an unnecessary league caused "epidemic" are the silly B2B games mandate.
That shit needs to stop.

Only Kyrie and KD i believe are load management. Royce got a personal thing going on. Claxton is injured and the others are guys coming off recent injuries so they not going to play them b2b right now

I wouldn't quite go that far..but I do place the blame for some of that on the board of governors, and it goes back years before Adam Silver's tenure.

What is he supposed to do about it? If it is the same player out all the time then i get your point but if a guy get a scheduled rest day once every 2 months or so then who am i to cry about that?

End of quarter, Curry dribbling up top as seconds tick off, gets a little space, lets a 3 fly...and turns his back confidently well before it drops right in. I love the swag when they do that. Of course it's also fun when they do that and it misses.

Silver already banned it for national tv games, nice look lol
OK that's a start. How do you prevent it in general? Thinking about it myself, maybe every player gets 3-4 allowed healthy rest days? But of course how do you police teams pretending a guy has a sore quad?

Easy to bitch, hard to fix.

Yup. It would be a nightmare to enforce

You’d basically need a staff of doctors on call in each city and have to run independent evaluations

I agree, the cat is kind of out of the bag. I probably start by trying to get it back in the bag on a few other things first, no question if I’m in charge there would be a long lockout right off the bat lol.

OK tough guy but again, cat out of bag, cat in bag, what can be done? You call a lockout, and then what?

You rip Silver non stop but you have nothing better to suggest. If it was fixable they'd fix it. Teams are always going to do everything they can to maximize their chances to win titles and load management is one of the ways to do that.

You think Stern would have let it get to this point?
